    Kaapstad?

A few have gone the way of Kaap. I hardly come back here now long since got fed up of spending ££ for not much gain. Had my last big spend couple years ago and moved onto other things. 3D Printer projects have filled that space now.

    B Grade 4090 disappointment - couldn't even post

The B grade stock goes back in at the price it was sold at originally thats why the prices are like they are, OCUK dont really give it much attention. They often dont do anything with the price. Thats why you have to put an offer in sometimes. Thats also why there is an offer thread in Latest...

    Help - I got hacked !

Dont also rely 100% on 2FA/MFA either as that can be bypassed. My sons Discord account was hacked and he had 2FA enabled. My Amazon account was hacked and 2FA bypassed. Luckily I got an email when a gift card was bought so I could stop it any further and Amazon gave me a refund. They wouldnt...

How much money for a basic 3D printer?

Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro got it for £180 assembly takes half an hour and you can be printing within an hour. Works out the box with very little adjustment and there is room for improving it when you get familiar with it later.

    Looking for a beginner printer

I ended up with a Neptune 3 Pro. Excellent printer out of the box. Made the Ikea Lack enclosure for it upto a point where I created a remix and posted it on Printables. Most uncommon print I have done so far is a new radiator knob for one of my radiators in the house.

    what to buy next

I think the biggest problem you will have is that i3 CPU. If you cant afford much a 9th Gen i5 or i7 cheap 2nd hand would be beneficial. So that an extra 8gb RAM and go second hand 3060 or better I wouldnt even bother with a 4060.

    Laptop 3070 upgrade

Checking the spec its a 3070 115w GPU so slightly slower than the Desktop version but interestingly I've read you can overclock it in the bios.

Which Elegoo Printer for 1st Timer

I went with the Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro. Reason was the reviews of it just working out of the box. To some it might appear boring as you dont have to tinker much to get decent prints. Build quality is excellent. Works out of the box with very little to adjust. Then once you are comfortable with it...
