I was looking at my purchase history a month ago before i bought a strix 1080ti - i paid £299 for a 7970 back in 2012, which was RMA'D 2 years or so later and replaced with a 290! After paying that - Paying 680 for the 1080ti felt outrageous (black friday sale too!), now it looks like a bargain!

The ghosting has been a big issue for me - The rest of the monitor is perfect (for the price) but i wouldn't recommend it for fast paced games

I'm hoping that the comments regarding OCUK getting all of the initial stock are still accurate!

Strix on a black friday deal for £670 - spent about 20 minutes trying to make it fit in my case though!

Gonna grab that £200 1440p monitor that's on sale at the moment while the screen makers hopefully sort themselves out

I think i'm going to grab one of these for the time being, need to upgrade from a 10 year old samsung syncmaster (an amazing B grade overclockers deal!) I would love to spend out some money on a decent screen but the amount of dice rolling that seems to be going on is ridiculous

I Just pulled the trigger on a 1080ti, but i've been running a 280x and recently started a new job so have a bit of money to throw about I made the 280 last 5 years so decided to reward myself, if i get half that out of the 1080ti it will be a decent investment!

I know, worrying about g-sync and 144hz etc etc, I haven't kept up at all and as you say the prices mean you have to be clued up! 8800GTX looked great on it though, i bought it along with my GTX 8800 in Jan 08 so might drag it out to 10 years and then donate it to the wife :D

Haha, i had the same monitor (was actually a refurb!) from overclockers and i'm still using it now, brilliant screen! What have you upgraded too as i am in desperate need or a replacement!

Not so sad about the card being DOA now, got a lot of useful info from this thread and my old 260gtx is still pulling its weight with the processor/ram/ssd upgrade. I'm now actually wondering if i really needed a 7970, but for the 10 minutes that i ran a few games i couldn't go back to...

Well i decided to go with the fortress, will leave out the top cage (although its not for my 8800gtx anymore, that blew up this morning so i ordered a 260gtx while i was at it!) Will post pictures when i've sorted everything out!
