Hi @Atom80 are you aware of any Aorus distributors in Norway? I can only seem to find Aorus motherboards and GFX cards over here, no laptops! They have to be within Norway otherwise the 25% import tax makes it financially.... crippling! thanks!

Well, after a party this weekend, I've woken up and my XS Max has a steamed up front camera and the screen responsiveness has gone weird (thinks I'm long pressing when I'm not)... ... so maybe I'll be in the market for an 11 after all :/

I find it annoying when the sales blurb goes on about a "2080". Then when you scroll down to the tech specs, it says "2080 Max-Q" :|

Getting impatient waiting for all the reviews! I'm so delirious I'm even contemplating the ASUS Mothership haha (although I'm sure I'll sober up once I see the price).

As ever, it seems the specs across the brands are pretty much identical.. it's going to come down to athletics/cooling/fan noise for me I think! Asus ROG is looking tempting...

Hmmmm. Semi tempted by the Aorus ones (given the prices of the Aeros :o). I think I'll wait for the reviews, then make my decision based on fan noise, cooling performance and benchies.

I'm assuming the main difference between those two lines is that the Aero ones are aimed at being slim and light, whereas the Aorus ones are the fatter, more "in your face" gaming versions?

Basically an underclocked, slower, quieter and cooler 2070 (in theory anyway).

Wish they'd kept with Samsung M.2 SSDs. The Intel 760p seems like a downgrade.

That's something I've also noticed. A very welcome improvement!

The screen "issue" is down to app developers, nothing to do the resolution of the screen. Hell, Facebook still haven't (and I guess never will) updated their app to support the 12.9" iPad. Also the Sky+ app and quite a few others...
