Yes, remastering the first 3 into the latest engine would be good, though as you say, it would be hard to imagine how they would fully remaster manage that without losing too much about what those games were. However the more refined game mechanics on the original Uncharted would be amazing...

    Parasyte a.k.a Need More Tentacles?

Is this a movie or a series? I can never tell from Netflix trailers.

odd, I really loved U4, I'd have U4 as my favourite followed by U2. I liked the 'wider' levels, they gave more options to approach/fight enemies. Also the story felt a lot more matured

My recollection was that Uncharted 3 was good in it's own right, but wasn't as big a jump forward as Uncharted 2 was.

Aliens, The Abyss, True Lies and Titanic finally get digital and 4K Blu-Ray release dates

I'm also waiting for the 4K Aliens. Probably my favourite movie of all time, it's been a long time coming. I did see a fan 4k upscale of Aliens recently and that certainly had very smooth and waxy skin, the 4K in the preview video posted earlier in this thread look significantly better than...

Aliens, The Abyss, True Lies and Titanic finally get digital and 4K Blu-Ray release dates

Assuming you aren't limiting yourself to these movies, to show off 4k I think you're best finding one that has good HDR (assuming you have a good HDR TV). My first was the Revenant, and the opening shot of the light through the trees was really good - even my other half said "Wow", and she...

What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

Just last week I was thinking about that, I never did play MP3 and suddenly I'm feeling like I should play it soon (got to finish Cyberpunk first...). The first two were so good at the time, though I'd be worried about going back to them now in case they don't live up to the memories!

Moved on from Dead Cells now, so have started on Hades for some thing along the same lines. Been enjoying it so far, though still figuring out some of the systems and managed to beat the first boss a few times but haven't managed to get to the second boss yet. Suspect I have a lot of work...

20 years since 2004. The greatest step forward in PC gaming?

That takes me back, what an amazing game that was!!

20 years since 2004. The greatest step forward in PC gaming?

I would have to agree, it took games like Quake to a whole new level - not just the novelty of proper 3d, but also playing at a smooth frame rate. People that complain about games being unplayable when they aren't a smooth 60fps really have no idea now good they have it  Before 3D...

    The Beekeeper (Jan 24)

I saw this at the weekend, I agree with the above - it was an entertaining action movie. I like the general plot concept with the Beekeepers, that does have scope for more movies.

    Marvel Studios Echo

Yeah, I watched the first episode last night and quite enjoyed it. Certainly got a darker vibe than most other MCU stuff

    *** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

While it is a shame that they are dropping their own engine - on the other hand, if CDPR are applying their engine developers to Unreal engine then that may help the overall quality of Unreal games as new ray tracing tech and general performance optimisations are fed back into the engine (I...

    *** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

I finally started playing this over the Christmas break, only a few hours in, have done a few side missions and explored the city a bit, my next main quest is The Heist - still early days but I'm really liking it so far. Will finish the play through before I start playing with Mods though.

I managed to 'complete' Dead Cells over the Christmas break - as much as you can say completed for that. I've unlocked all achievements for it, brutally hard for the last few relating to the final bonus levels. Time to take a break from it and try another rogue like/lite, I'm thinking Hades...

I didn't realise the Adventure mode had launched... I guess I'll be taking a look at that over Christmas (if not this weekend!)

    BLADE - Arkane/Bethesda

I thought the trailer was rendered in engine, the polygon detail when the barber gets close to the camera looks a lot less than I would expected from a pre-rendered scene Hoping this one will be good, I'd love a good Blade game!

Windblown (from the developers of Dead Cells)

New rogue-like game from Twin Motion. I love Dead Cells, so I'm looking forward to seeing how this one turns out. will launch in early access next year

Multiplayer games that are fun to play solo

Yeah, it's a good game to play solo. Other than shooting other players, you have no other need to interact with people. However playing against people means that no two games are the same and nothing is as predicable as playing against NPCs. I'd also suggest the Division or The Division 2 -...

    TRIGKEY mini PC

Interesting indeed. Odd that they have two companies that seem to be targeting the same products in the same price range, would have thought they would try to target different areas. Or maybe they are starting Trigkey off with the same products to build reputation before adjusting their...
