Saw all this dash cam discussion so I thought I'd mount my Canon EOS M on my tripod and try it out on a car journey today. Really impressed with footage straight from the camera.
Made it into a quick time-lapse also :)
I'm thinking about making a Raspberry Pi dash cam soon too, so...
Same email here too mate. Seemed standard enough to me that when a company goes into administration all creditors in this case customers are notified should they have reason to make a claim. Probably due to the prepay nature of the network to get the sim card and credit outside the monthly...
Thanks for the reply guys! I did think the car seemed to be travelling faster at the same level on the speedo so I'll need to check that against my sat nav. The sat nav would usually have read 3-4 mph lower than the speedo, so it will be interesting to see what it reads now. Is there any way to...
Hopefully I will find some answers here from the motoring experts. I recently replaced my tires (205/45 R16) with 205/55 R16 as the lower profile tyres where very harsh on the road coupled with the sports suspension. The country road I live on is very rough and hilly so it's not the most...
After a lot of troubleshooting and testing basically every component, I decided to try booting without the keyboard installed and a usb keyboard plugged in instead. The issue vanished right away, and immediately reappeared when the standard keyboard was fitted back on the laptop.
I've been given a laptop to remove viruses from and after removing over 1000 different malware issues it wasn't running just as it should so I backed up any data and reinstalled using the restore partition on the hard drive.
After that you would think all was well but the laptop won't boot...
Thanks! :) The side on shots I'd say prob 3 metres away, then the others ranged from about 5-15 metres. Had plenty of scope on the 70-200 so as long as I was fairly near I could get the shots I wanted.
Thanks. It was excellent and very well attended given it was the first of such events organised in the area. The good news is they're running it next year also, although I'd like to be on a bike instead of behind the camera next year :D
Did you wash your car thoroughly before waxing it? There shouldn't be any dirt getting on the applicator pad or your buffing cloth if the car is nicely cleaned beforehand.
Hadn't planned to take my camera but my mate said I could borrow his 70-200 f2.8 IS so I thought why not. :)

Made it shine again. Wash, polish, sealant then wax. Also fitted some pressed plates and seat sport plate holders and black vinyl either side of the plates on front.
Pic of how it is now
compared to before
Unsuccessfully tried to fix a rattle in my dashboard area on my Seat Ibiza. I will not be defeated though. I am armed with all manner of screwdrivers, foam and whatever else it takes to put an end to the mocking rattle that lurks behind my dials!!!
