If you haven't already done so you need to enable the restricted drivers, which can be found from the System, Admin menu. I also have a 3945abg card in my laptop and have not had any problems using it in Ubuntu.

Well if you had read some of the previous posts or the blog from windowsteamblog.com you would have seen that the download is not available until around 12PM US time, which is 8pm GMT.
Can everyone stop asking where the download link is please.

Current computers we use at my office are Fujitsu-Siemens. Intel Core2, (don't think C2D, though they could be) 3Ghz, 1Gb ram, 80Gb HDD. They bought 140,000 of them, so they must have got a half decent deal.
XP Pro SP3 has now been RTM'd, so the final version of SP3 should be hitting Windows Update soon. I would go for this one over SP2 as it includes extra bug fixes, security fixes etc. The SP3 RC2 is available to download from Microsoft now.
The logitech g7 has been a good wireless mouse for me, and I think I've solved the problem I was having with it. I haven't looked at many wireless keyboards, not too sure about them.
I just don't like Vista, got a copy of it from MSDN. My computer and I didn't get along with it, uninstalled it put XP back on. The taking for ever to delete files, UAC, the SP1 that "broke" a fair number of machines and then there was the update to be able to update to SP1.
