Thanks guys yes time in saddle increasing and going to look at some hill training as as pointed out there is a decent amount of climbing. Seahaven to Whitby is the route and includes Hardknott pass!

Eventually the pipe was fixed but the rest of the remedial works (new carpets, redecorated) etc still were not sorted.
Lesson learned in as such as acting like a tempestuous child can land in you in more trouble than you may otherwise think and witholding money isn't always the biggest stick...

They are reversed like that so that when you jump on and the strap is un-velcro'd so to speak, it doesn't get caught in the chain as you start pedalling.

I'm currently running Fulcrum Racing 7's and am after an upgrade. Any suggestions I'm thinking of RS80's? Any opinions? I ride a wide variety of distances and am looking to increase my average speed.

Disappointed in myself today regularly been doing 20-25 miles on a Sunday morning at an ok-ish pace with my training partner. He's picked up an injury so I was on my own and just blasted a quick 11 miles off - couldn't motivate myself to go further though I did up my average speed.
