We did actually look at renting a starlink disk for a LAN we're organising as the location had awful internet but then we found out they'd had fttp installed just recently so no need anymore!
Would've been interesting to see how we got on trying to game over it but we won't find out anymore...
Been playing lots of Space Engineers again with mates lately ... That or jumping into sole Valheim as we're still exploring the Mistlands and hopefully the Ashlands won't much longer so will have plenty more to explore once that releases!
You're right it was a faulty hub port ... I tested connecting directly from laptop to ONT and then hub ports and ONT was gigabit but hub one was only 100Mbps so I've now got BT sending us a new hub tomorrow ... Hopefully that solves it!
Seems the re-grade has gone through but I'm still stuck with the BT Hub only connecting to the fibre network at 100Mbps so can't see any of the benefit of the 500Mbps connection we're now on!
I'm connected directly to the hub by cable (temporarily using another cable) at gigabit speed so not an...
I've just gone with this upgrade and it came with a £75 pre paid CC so effectively makes it no price increase for almost 18 months over our current 150mb product! Should be going live today sometime ... No idea when though!
My girlfriends family live in the Eastern part of Latvia not far off the main road that goes from Riga all the way to Moscow and they're always a bit on edge about what could happen but I can totally see ripping up the railways across the border being something they'd do!
Going there in a...
Finished the final season back on Saturday evening - a great final season to the show and a shame it's finished really but best not to drag it out I suppose!
It will definitely fit into that slot in your photo but you have to orient the drive flipped on its long axis with the label facing downwards it seems - the slot is keyed with the small part to the right which is why it's not mating up correctly the way you have it oriented.
Another go with the...
This was a solicitor that our broker suggested and we went with as the previous solicitor we used 5 years ago quoted more to deal with the remortgage.
Might be that we lose out on £199 now which is all we paid upfront non refundable - other fee is refundable until valuation is booked which...
So annoyed with our solicitor on our remortgage, they have only just now after we submitted the application 2 months ago emailed to say there’d be a fee of £195 +vat due to the lender we applied to being “notorious” for requesting additional paperwork etc.
Why the heck wouldn’t they tell us...
My 750w Corsair 80+ Gold seems to be managing just fine and that's with one direct connection and one split cable for the other two so not three dedicated PSU cables!
Had no issues whatsoever with it - so I'd hope that anything higher spec would be absolutely fine.
We're looking at a similar move from 1.94% to 5.09% ourselves which will be a similar uplift monthly - not fun but affordable still although a pain any way you look at it!
Not sure we'll come across anything better before 31st Dec but we've locked in just in case things do get worse and rates...
You'll be fine yeah my 7900XTX Pulse is running just fine on a Corsair 750W - no crashes at all! Will likely need some beefier in future but for now it's working fine.
We used L&C for our first mortgage too and didn't have any issues but yes we're wondering if the building society is to be trusted / relied upon as we know the broker is ok.
Good point about cashback though we could possibly get something elsewhere using the comparison sites - rates in general...
