They are very close tho, i think in helios's review the noctua is ahead by only 0.5oC , the VX are very good considering the size compared to the noctua..

no where near as good as i was expecting...its not as good as a i7 860 both at stock. If thats all intel have to offer i thing AMD might be in with a good chance this time round. Lets see what AMD's bulldozer offers. Wow AMD keep catching people slipping... 1st nivida with fermi and maybe...

Cant we tell you love ATI ? :D Oh and the 5970 is a dual gpu gard which means 2 x GPU's... and it doesnt whoop the gtx480's arse at all... plus you get the xfire supporting the game business, if not then its down to 1 x 5850 gpu plus then you have micro stuttering to deal with which is well...

It wasnt a new expensive purchase :D It was the same price for both cards and i chose this one ;) simples... And yeah they all pretty much come with 3yr warranty including Point of view which is the one i have. Just go with the cheapest as they are all exactly the same apart from company...

Why would i have green tinted glasses ?? Have you had a GTX480 ? if not you can not comment on my reply as i have had both hence my personal opinion. Plus the GTX480 is still faster than the 5870 is it not ? right then.... ;)

Right as i have had a 5870 and now have a GTX480 i can comment on this, dont listen to what people say about heat or power because i ran my 5870 off a 500W psu and now im running a GTX480 off a 500w psu (no problems so far) and the they are both about the same noise wise when gaming. All...

They probs just reaseated the heatsink.... You might have very bad airflow inyour case or a very bad and hot cpu... I would cantact them back and demand they sort it properly as those temps are unacceptable.

For gaming you will be better off going with i5 as they have the onboard pcie to reduce latency, or if you want the grunt go for 1156skt i7 860 as it has all the benefits of the i5 for gaming and is more powerful than the i7 920. The only downside the the i7 860 is the P55 motherboards only...

Yeah my old 5870 run fine on my 500w psu.

i was gonna opt for a 5870 again but seeing as i have already had one and the GTX480 coming up like that i thought it would be rude not to. Only thing is now will it run on my 500W Psu ?
