    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

I get what you mean with the Lexus interiors. I had a look at the CT 200h a few weeks ago and was quite surprised at the interior and how - not so much dated, but 'retro' it looked. The Leon seems to be a good bet as it's a Lidl version of the Golf. Every bit as good as a Golf, but not a Golf...

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

That's great. Thanks for that. I was just worried that it might of been a bit too crashy and I defaulted to the Sport trim.

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

Good to know. Yeah, I feel that my wee 125hp Fiesta is nice and nippy. Not looking for an absolute pocket rocket. The SE L and L&K (never knew that one exists) trims look like a really nice place to be. Thanks for that. I've heard of the magnetic suspension, but for the life of me, I just...

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

Don't I know it! Seems like it's a bit of a touchy subject. I hadn't considered the Octavia. Probably because I always associate them with taxis. Mind you, the boots in them look massive and be able to fit my snowboards in with ease. I didn't know the Octavia was the Golf's sister car. The...

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

Hardly. All I was looking for was people's experiences with something a bit more up market than a Fiesta. 5 door hatchback, petrol, less than 4 years old, less than £17k. Must. Suggest. BMW. 4 series. Coupe! By your logic I should get this, or this, or this. They're all under budget. Why not?

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

    Looking for a 5 door small family hatchback. Get's recommended a 2 door 2+2 300hp coupe. Amazing.

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

Bloody hell. Did my generalised thought process really bother you that much? I only added 2016-17, like I said; because that's the years that the list of cars I put on roughly received a mid life facelift, and since they looked better than the interior of my Fiesta and had better technology, I...

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

So what makes my requirement retarded? Is it such a tall order to look for other people's advice on cars?

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

If you read my original post fully you would've seen that I said "2016-17 or newer". That means I'm looking for cars from 2016, 17, 18, 19 and 20. Not just 2016-17. Not so much a retarded requirement for someone who has a 6 year old car.

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

How'd you mean? It covers the time period in the listed cars that have had a mid life facelift.

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

Not exactly what I was looking for, but thanks for your input. Like I said, I'm looking for something more comfortable on the inside too, nicer place to sit in while I do those 6,000 miles.

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

Wouldn't really meet the requirement of having a nicer interior to sit in.

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

I'm not looking for top level comfort. Just something better than a crashy Fiesta on 17 inch wheels. Glasgow's roads aren't that forgiving!

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

I think a 3 series and an A4 are too big for my needs. A lot of that size would go to waste.

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

There's no 120i's within 100 miles of me that's newer than 2016-17. Seems like they don't exist around here!

    Upgrade from 2014 Ford Fiesta

Hi all, Was looking to upgrade my car to something a bit better behind the wheel in terms of refinement and comfort. Just something nice to sit in, with nice tech like Apple Car Play, climate control, the usual suspects. My last three cars have been Fiestas and I'm driving a 2014 Fiesta...

    Apparently there's a new GTX 1060 with GDDR5X...

From what I saw and read on a few tech websites, the "new" 1060 GDDR5X is using 1080 boards with crippled GP104s. They have SLI connectors too, but it sounds like they're disabled/physically cut. Looks like they're trying to get rid of old surplus stock.

    Upgrade from a Dell SP2008 (1680x1050)

Thanks for the recommendation Geo. That actually looks like quite a decent monitor and one that ticks all the boxes. Just to double check though, it's a FreeSync 75Hz model, I assume it'll still run at 1080@75Hz with an nVidia card? You'll only lose the dynamic refresh rate? Thanks!

    Upgrade from a Dell SP2008 (1680x1050)

Hi there, On the road to upgrading my monitor that I've had for so long, that it's not on my OcUK order history. It's a 20 inch display and my space is limited, so I'm happy for something between 20-24 inches. I'm just looking for a good solid performer without costing too extravagant, but...

Throttle down higher speed RAM for tighter timings?

Hi there, Updating my PC finally and I'm getting an i5 8400 with a B360 board. As the B360 only allows 2666 MHz RAM, I was wondering if it would be beneficial getting something like 3000/3200 MHz RAM and underclocking them with tighter timings. Worth it, or too much effect for marginal gains?
