    So, a Lexus IS250?

Post code will make a huge difference as well. I had my IS when I was 22 with 1 years NCB and a licence for 5 years, it cost me around £800.

    So, a Lexus IS250?

The IS was my first step into 'premium' cars, having come from an MG ZS. For the budget that I had at the time the Lexus appeared to be the best value for money, due to all the equipment included as standard. Everything about the car was what I was looking for at the time, I.e. something with...

    So, a Lexus IS250?

It was a 55 plate car, and had about 78k miles on it when I bought for £6500 from a used car garage. When I sold it privately for £5800 a year later it had about 86k miles. It certainly never felt old or particularly high mileage, the example I bought had had 2 owners and FSH though. I think...

    So, a Lexus IS250?

In the year I had it, it had 2 new rear tyres on it for about £360 and a major service at an independent garage for £200. Fuel economy I averaged 28 mpg doing town and traffic driving to and from work, on the motorway it would settle at about 35 mpg.

    So, a Lexus IS250?

At the time I wasn't really looking for an auto, work travel and commuting since then has increased though so I decided to change. Now I have an E39 BMW 530i.

    So, a Lexus IS250?

Had one for about a year, was a great car. Good alternative to the 3 series I thought, not quite up there in handling terms but it still manages to drive quite well. I had a 6 speed manual, and my first bit of advice would be to test drive both a manual and an auto. I found the manual to be a...

*** The Official Sony Xperia i1 'Honami' Thread ***

Has anyone seen a car dock for this phone that makes use of the charging pins on the side?

    BMW and M Power Owners

Yeah, think the Eonon is the way to go. It's certainly not the best out of the 3, but I don't really want to pay double that price and still have issues. Will likely get one then return it under DSR if it really doesn't work out.

    BMW and M Power Owners

I haven't got nav, so can't take the easy route like that :(. In my mind it's between the Eonon, Dynavin and Andrive. I prefer the idea of something that just works, and don't see the point of paying extra for features I don't really need (e.g. Android). Between the Eonon and Dynavin though...

    BMW and M Power Owners

Atari, I'm currently looking for a similar kind of unit for an e39. Currently got my eye on the Andrive system. Being a newer version of Android and being rooted means there's a bit more flexibility on what it can be used for, in particular you can hook up an OBD cable and run Torque.

    FAO Fox: Buying a E39 530i Sport

Cheers for the advice guys, and for the details Atari. I figured the coding wouldn't be a huge job, I just don't have a laptop at the moment that I can use for it. Maybe I should just grab a cheap one and a cable, and start messing with it myself. And yeah, the auto lock is rubbish, that's...

Thanks for that. Anyone on here in the Midlands area got the software and want to earn some beer tokens?

    FAO Fox: Buying a E39 530i Sport

Anyone found a way to change settings such as selective unlock and auto lock when driving over 5mph? From what I've read some software can be used, or it can be done at a dealer, but I can't really find any definitive information or costs.

    FAO Fox: Buying a E39 530i Sport

Will hopefully be picking up a new car this week, so thought I'd get some peoples help on what I might need to do in the near future to it. The car is this one . Went and viewed it last week and it was in excellent condition. The chap had 3 e39s, and seemed to put effort into keeping all of...

    Used GT Bike Frame

Couldn't see anything in the rules against this, but let me know if it's an issue. I've recently upgraded to a new bike (Orange P7), and now have my old bike sitting unused. I've taken most of the parts off it to use on my new bike, but what is left is the frame, headset and handlebars. The...

    Engineering Project Management Qualifications

I'm about to go on the APMP course, which sits at Level 4 on the IPMA scale. So far I've only done the pre-work, and will be able to tell you a bit more next week after doing the course. It looks to cover a wide variety of topics though, with some specific theories touched on. How this compares...

BMW SE vs. M Sport ride quality

Cheers Fox. Is the use of a USB drive any good without the I-drive screen, or is it just going to be too fiddly to search through 10GB of music? Doing a quick search doesn't show many cars with the USB option mentioned either.
