Thank you for you answser. The "pinkish" tint effect is very variable from one 2408 to another. Sometimes it's not or barely noticable, on others 2408 it could be very marked. But A01 seems ineed to have improved this issue. I also have a 2408 (A01), and I'm very happy with it. ;)

Continue posting... ;) I'm in the exact same boat as you, except I'm "on-line" whith French-speaking Dell Tech Support. Very very helpful... He also escalated the issue, but still no A01 on sight. So now I've a 0G286H RevA00. I'm quite happy with it (finger crossed that I don't find an...

No, I'm talking about the global color homogeneity of the panel. On a LCD monitor (any LCD, not just the 2408), in a darkened room if you display a full white background and look at it, you can judge the "white homogeneity". Usually, the white is never perfectly uniform in "whitness" and...

Well very surprising... And what about the pink tint a lot of us have on the left side ?

A question to all 2408 owners. A lot of users (US Forums) are still reporting a slight to strong pink tint visible on white in low light conditions (especially on the left side and bottom left corner). Even with a properly calibrated monitor. Do you experiment the same ? Is it inherent...

I'm with you gazzeroo... ;) Well in the same boat I guess. As Sallarmas suggested I had my 2408 exchanged because of the mark on the anti-glare coating. It was definitively a defect. Actually what other users was seeing was a very small bright dot (like a dead pixel but a lot smaller), as...

Indeed the manufactured month is written on a small sticker on the back of the LCD. Alternatively, you can use SoftMCCS (if you are under Windows). It give you the manufactured week, example: 2008 ISO Week 20. This is between 12 and 18 of May 2008

My two cents, from my experiences. DISCLAIMER: this is provided "as is" and with no guarantee this is correct. This is only deducted from my own experiences and readings... 2408 for Europe are produced in CZ (Theck Republic). The initial part# worldwide was 0CX268. The firsts 2408 0CX268...

So now it's Ok for you? To unlock you have to simultaneously press the button and push the monitor down further. Then you let the monitor goes up while still pressing the button. A03 is indeed probably an error in the refurbishing process. Thank you for your answser

Hi... It's a common problem: the lock feature. Just press the large silver button at the back of the swivel while pushing down further the monitor with your other hand, then release the button while you gently let the monitor goes up. About your replacement: wow ? A03 ? I'm curious...: - Is...

Till now I've received both 0CX268 and 0G286H, both rev.A00 and the old firmware. I've heard about 0CX268 rev A01 (see above in this forum). But I never heard (nor the Dell Tech Support) about a third part# rev.A00 but integrating the new firmware. If somebody can give me this new part#...

Indeed it's very small. On a white background it looks like a very small dust. Thanx again to check.
