To be fair they do mention that in the product description "Important: for bench press exercises it may be necessary for the bench to straddle the rear floor bar of the cage. This will not be possible if you position the cage hard against a wall or add the cable system upgrade."

    Re-mortgaging!

Thanks for the replies my LTV is 71.99% so in the middle of the 5% range. We are looking at extending kitchen into the garage and bringing the garage forward in a couple of years and will look to borrow more on the mortgage then so that would increase my LTV%. So maybe go for the 4 year option.

    Re-mortgaging!

Fun topic! I can get a rate of 1.7% for 4 or 6 years. I'm thinking about going 6 years as with the current financial climate i cant see rates getting much cheaper. What are peoples thoughts on length of mortgages? Thanks Tony

Ive got 2 otions for placement. The partition is 212cm wide and with a 6ft barbell being 186cm that leaves me 44.5cm either side. Obv on the right hand side I would have more than 44.5. I've plotted the space that the rack will take up, felt bit like art attack!. This would leave me with just...

@lowdown how much space would say you needed either side of the M2 to be able to load plates on/off the bar? Trying to size out a couple of placement options in my space.

Im trying to be creative with storage for when I get more weights. We had a spare Ikea trofast unit the kids didn't use anymore which I added some heavy duty wheels on it and gave it a lick of paint and will use to store weights and the top is handy to use to hold phone, water bottle etc.

Thanks for the feedback chaps, sounds like hex plates are the sweet spot for durability and functionality. I would like to use them on dumbness at some point as well.

Great feedback thank you! How do you adjust the safety pins do they just pull out the front? Im now looking at weight plates sooo many types lol! As a newbie am i right in thinking that the olympic cast iron weights are the way to go as they are cheaper. Do bumper plates have any advantages...

Bench looks nice and looks exspensive. As I'm just starting my garage gym I need to get my first bench. Granted not many in stock but there are almost too many options. Am I best getting a cheap flat bench to start with as decent adjustable ones seem to be north of 200 quid, which after...
