    Off to australia to work!

Living in North Sydney at the moment but looking to buy a house on the Northern Beaches. House prices here are insane, a run down 3 bed, 1 bath on the Northern Beaches starts at $700,000 :( I'm the CIO of an aged care company. If you've got a degree or relevant experience then the skilled...

    Off to australia to work!

I've been living in Sydney for 7 years now, it's the best place on earth. Once you're here you won't want to leave. The bridge climb is good but pricey, you can walk the harbour bridge at road level for free and climb up one of the pylon's for $11. It's a tenth the cost of the bridge climb...

    SAN Mirroring

I'd be more inclined to buy one SAN with full redundancy built in. Having 2 in the same location isn't really providing you much extra redundancy. For the first one to fail you'd more than likely need a power failure and if that happened the second one would be useless anyway.

Just wanted to say thank you! That worked perfectly and saved me a load of time.

    SQL Help

Hi Guys, I'm sure this is the most basic of basic scripts imaginable so I'm hoping someone can help. I have a table in SQL2000 which contains e-mail addresses (about 2000 of them). [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] I need to change all of these addresses to...

    Spread The Love

Of course! I'm already regretting it. :p 108 views and 4 replies highlights my point though. So many lurkers are given hours of entertainment by a handfull of regular posters (and the occasional drunk). Tis a great community.

    Climbing Fitness

My limit is around 25 at the moment. I can lead some 24's depending on the route. My strength has definitely come on massively with climbing but I find I can't gym train the muscles I climb with as it makes me useless the next time I go climbing. My only concern with bouldering more is...

Memory Upgrade for HP ML350 G5

Yup. Just as an aside. If it's running exchange and some business critical software I'd suggest at the very least making sure it still has warranty. If it does then you may not want to put non hp ram in it.

    Climbing Fitness

I've been climbing for about 5-6 years now and have loved the progression I have achieved in my technique and physique. I climb indoors 2-3 times a week (and outdoors on weekends when I can) Apart from climbing I do running 3 times a week (5-15kms) and weight train my opposiing climbing...

    Angels

I'd very much like to believe in angels. Unfortunately my hatred of everything religious prevents me. Sure would be sweet if they did exist though... There may have been one out tonight though. I found $100 in the street on the way home from the bar!

    Spread The Love

Just wanted to say.... I've been reading this forum for most of my adult life. It's seen me through 5 or 6 girlfriends, 3 or 4 jobs and a seachange move to Australia. We see the same names posting time and again and I finally thought I'd take the time (I may have had a beer) to say, I've...

RSS news time - Teenage girl dies after first kiss

If you've going to die from a heart condition I guess after your first kiss wouldn't be that strange. I know my heart was racing the first time I kissed a girl. Condolences to her family, 18 is no age. :(

"Common Law Wife" - a myth it seems...

Would that be the same for immigration? When I moved to Australia I moved on a Defacto Spouse Visa. While we weren't married in the eyes of the law here we kinda were. To the point that when she lost her job she couldn't claim benefits as I was on too high an income. I take it you can't...

    Any Electricians here?

As mentioned. Under part P pretty much any electrical work carried out in a kitchen, bathroom or outdoors must be carried out or at a minimum certified to be safe by a registered competent person or your local authority building control...

The new MacBook Air.... A Question

Not sure if this will help but it's not as glossy as a MBP but not as matte as the anti glare screen. Sitting at my desk at work with good lighting I can't see my reflection in the screen as I'm typing this.
