***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

ROFL... That's obviously why it was called Super Mario 3D then, with it not being in 3D  Never mind, I should have known better to ask this type of question... sorry for the inconvenience. I'll hit that unsubscribe button right away... *note to self: only ask about GPU specs...

***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

With a 3rd person camera, you are moving the camera, not your viewpoint. If you were stood behind someone with a camera and you wanted to photograph their right side, would you move left or right? I assure you, I have written enough 3rd person camera control functions to know how they work...

***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Moving Left should move the camera left, not the view... So if you have the camera behind the player and you push left, you should end up looking at their left arm, then their face, then their right arm, then their back again. Is that what you mean?

***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Can anyone confirm if they've fixed the camera invert options on the PC version? I originally had the Xbox One version and reported a bug that the camera invert only affected the Y-axis, leaving the X-axis the same. R* refused to acknowledge it as a bug, so I sold my Xbox One version after just...

Eizo 24.1 inch EV2455 has anyone got one?

I can't consider 16:9 as anything but a gaming resolution, because it's just no benefit for pretty much any other type of use, except maybe watching YouTube videos. Photographs aren't 16:9 format, applications aren't 16:9 format, BluRay movies are rarely 16:9, music creation isn't any format in...

Eizo 24.1 inch EV2455 has anyone got one?

Sorry, been knee deep in programming so missed your reply. Yep, 16:10 is absolutely essential. I have never used anything other than 4:3 or 16:10, 16:9 is simply a useless aspect ratio for anything other than watching YouTube videos or playing games... to me anyway. For what I use my PC for...

    It's also 16:9

Eizo 24.1 inch EV2455 has anyone got one?

As an artist, all that smooth motion tech is of no use. That's why I currently have a pair of NEC 20WGX2 Pro monitors at the moment. Unfortunately, they are starting to show their age with various faults, and they're doing it when I have no income... which is a bitch when you need to replace two...

Eizo 24.1 inch EV2455 has anyone got one?

Just noticed this new model from Eizo and was wondering if anyone in the UK had one? There are some videos on YouTube, but they are German, so I don't understand what they're saying. One video shows terrible panel uniformity especially around the edges, and I am wondering if this is a...

    Steam streaming? Anyone use it?

I ended up building my own box based on the MSI J1800I, cost about £150 all in but I did already have a spare 60GB SSD to put in it. Getting it set up proved a pain though, but not through any fault of the software/hardware, it was my Marantz SR7005 that caused the headache because the front...

    MSI J800I opinions?

I did actually build my system, based on the J1800I, I was just curious as to why I got a "why don't you use x?" type response when I was asking about opinions on a specific item. Quite often you get that because the person only has that alternate hardware, which is fine, but it doesn't address...

    MSI J800I opinions?

I'm sorry, I don't understand your response. Have you used a J1800I board, found it unsuitable and used an Am1 system instead? If so, what problems did you have with the J1800I? Considering an Am1 system would be more expensive, what benefits did you get from using a more expensive setup...

    MSI J800I opinions?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this board in a system? I am looking at building a small Steam streaming PC and this board seems to fit the bill. My current list of components is as follows: Silverstone SST-ML06B USB 3.0 Milo Slim HTPC, Mini-ITX - Black J1800I Intel MSI...

    Steam streaming? Anyone use it?

Does anyone know if this is suitable for streaming to? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BG-117-IN&groupid=595&catid=676 Or will something of a lower spec be fine. I'm interested in giving this a go, but at the cheapest cost possible.

Do we really need NAS's these days when you can stream everything through Netflix, Spotify etc?

Totally agree. My home theatre setup is by no means top grade (costing less than £6000... I think), but I know that it will only sound as good as it can, if I feed it the absolute best quality. I stream absolutely nothing from outside my own NAS/Server setup, and that's how it will stay. I've...

    Sony Bravia KDL 50 W829

I've just bought one of these (KDL-42W829) after having had a disastrous few months with a KDL-47W805. My first 805 has major 3D issues unless you sat on the floor, which is not ideal. The replacement 805 had about 20% of the screen (right hand side from top to bottom) that was darker than the...

New PS3 owner - what am I missing?

Super Stardust HD (nice in 3D too) Trine 1 & 2 Flower (good but short) Journey (also good but short) Everybody's Golf World Tour Fez Limbo Best I can think of at 3:40 am.

    PS4 worth getting?

Wait until they fix the controller issues. The R2 issue that plagues them is a real pain in the backside. I bought a used PS4 that was only three months old, but already the R2 button on the controller is starting to stick... eventually it will fail. Apparently they are supposed to have fixed...

Does anyone still use their PSP systems at all?

I went through the Hot Shots golf games last year. I had to buy a new battery but other than that, it still worked fine. I bought a Jap version on launch day (for over £280 ), so it's probably one of those things I'll keep, even if I never use it again. Still got all the box and stuff too.

worst video games you have played

Rise of the Robots takes some beating. I remember it being on the cover of Edge when the hype machine got started... and then the game came out, and reality checked in. I'd also offer up MGS4 and the (fortunately) never seen Inspector Gadget on the C64. I was working at Binary Design at the...
