Need to bump this thread. Tried editing the speed in registry, no difference. I've noticed when Windows first starts up, the mouse speed is remembered, but as programs are starting up etc, Windows will suddenly change the mouse speed back to default. I can open up the mouse settings dialog...

I'd recommend the X470-F Gaming. I got one to replace my garbage Crosshair VII hero and it's been amazing. Never had a single crash ever since initial install and setting my memory to 3200 c14

I recently changed my mouse DPI from 800 to 1600 and as a result, had to lower my sensitivity in Windows 10 (from the default 6 bars down to 4) but I've noticed every time I restart my system, Windows 10 will reset it back to the default 6. Any ideas why Windows is doing this or how to stop it?

Well, I'm very happy to report that I swapped out my Crosshair VI hero for the X470 ROG Strix and all the booting issues I had are gone!

I'm also in the market for a x470 board as my Crosshair VI Hero is shockingly bad for a ~£250 board. Rather than make a new thread for essentially the same thing, whats the best x470 board for memory support? I'd like at least 8-10 USB ports too.

So after finally dialing in my ram settings and making sure it's stable, I still have cold boot issues. Not as bad as my 1700, but now im getting qcode 7A, which I can get past after a couple of resets. No idea what qcode 7A means as it's not listed in the manual or anywhere else.

Everything other than setting memory to 3466 and stilts profile, is set to default. I only get these issues when my system is physically cold though, like first thing in the morning. I'll try increasing SOC and DRAM boot voltage later and report back ( didn't make a different on my 1700...

how do you test for this segfault in windows? Is it a simple test program? Or do you have to have a degree in C+ to be able to decipher the scripts?

That's exactly the case. I have the same problem with my CPU, and it's the reason im upgrading to the 2700X. Not for the little extra performance increase, but also for the extra performance gained from being able to run my memory faster, and also the ability to turn my system on and have it...

The calculator is probably a nice tool to use provided you have a half decent IMC on your CPU. If the IMC is garbage though, it's probably not gonna get you any better results.
