This game is all about 3rd partying now. Fights need to be won quickly on the first encounter or you need to begin falling back, await the 3rd party to turn up and engage the previous squad and then hit both weakened squads. Thirst quickly anyone down where possible, loot up and get out again...

Used Gibby last night after not using him since S1. Very tanky and easy to win 1 v 1 ADS fights, not so great if your a PK fan though.

It feels proper broke for me now. Nearly every champion squad contains someone with 10K + kills. I'm way down on skill level compared to the guys stomping me. Hot drops are just trail shows for Preds and Diamonds and every team mate now instant quits upon getting knocked. Its certainly no longer...

Only thing i can think of is that it is done by some kind of AVG (dmg/games played) to stop smurf accounts wrecking low level player games but from my experience 90% of these 'new' players are exactly that.

But is pairing 2 low ranked players together against a sweaty Pred champion squad SBMM ? Surely those low level players should never see squads with over 20K kills between them ? I cant believe the player base is so low that queuing to same skill players would entail too long a wait ?

This is why I miss solos and Duo's. Even with Duo's I was happy to Solo against pre-made squads.

I cant see how the SBMM is even working correctly if its throwing in new players with me against pre-made Pred squads. Personally I think they should keep pre-made squads out of the same games with solo queue'rs if possible.

SBMM in Apex has made solo queuing almost unplayable. 4/5 times ill be squaded with < level 50 players who have no idea and the champion squad will all be 3 x Pred/20K/4K badges!! It basically ends up a solo v 3 every fight (impossible against a decent team working squad). At best you can hope...

A lot of the lower cat races are crash fests, especially on bike circuits. Road races tend to be different and its rare to see crashes in Regional A and especially Nat B's where the races are fast and strung out a lot of the time making it safer. Might also just be me but the hot drops and Skulltown are less popular in the Elite games...guessing this is due to the desire to not actually die in the first 5 minutes ?
