18 pin + 10 Pin connectors on PSU for 24 Pin ATX power help.

CPU PWR_1 is 8 pin and CPU_2 is 4 pin. There is no 2x4 pin or any 4 pin in the cables I had with the fully modular PSU.

18 pin + 10 Pin connectors on PSU for 24 Pin ATX power help.

OK so connect both the 18 pin and 10 pin to the PSU from the 24 pin ATX power connection, but the CPU PWR_1 is 8 pin and CPU PWR_2 is 4 pin. I don't have an 8+4 connector, or any 4 pin connector. The CPU_PWR_1 is already connected, but I've not switched it on yet. Just the SSD and HDD to connect...

18 pin + 10 Pin connectors on PSU for 24 Pin ATX power help.

It's been about 7 years since I've built a PC, so am a bit rusty. I'm in the middle of a building a new base unit. I've stopped for tonight as I've just started on the beers, but there is an 18 pin and 10 pin connector running from the 24 pin ATX power connection on the mobo to the PSU. Should I...

    Intel i5 9600k or AMD Ryzen 7 2700x ?

Exactly you can wait forever. I thought about the 2700x, but after reading about there isn't much to justify the extra cost by all accounts, and I need a new PC soon, so I've just bought a 2600x. I'm a casual gamer these days, so I don't need anything top end. I could easily spend 2K on a system...

    Intel i5 9600k or AMD Ryzen 7 2700x ?

It's got nothing to do with RAM. The processor just ain't up to it any longer. I can't wait. I need to build a new base unit next week as I want to play BF V over xmas. https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/bfv-cpu-help.18837608/

    Intel i5 9600k or AMD Ryzen 7 2700x ?

Nah It's not cutting it any longer, even OC'd to 4.2Ghz. Dips to the 40's and 50's even on low settings. Not my settings or setup. Everyone with 2500k says the same. BF1 was fine BF V isn't.

    Intel i5 9600k or AMD Ryzen 7 2700x ?

Thanks, but I can't wait. BF V is unplayable on my i5 2500k

    Intel i5 9600k or AMD Ryzen 7 2700x ?

I will be building a new base unit for some casual gaming, but I don't want to be upgrading for about 4-5 years, Both are similar in price as you have to buy a cooler for the i5. Which is best, and should I go air or liquid cooled?

    Z390 Aorus Owners thread

I've got the MSI GD65A too, great board and very reliable. I too am looking to upgrade and was looking the Aorus, but there seems to be so many problems, I think I'm going to stick to MSI. I used to buy Asus, but had no end of trouble over the years. My current PC has MSI Mobo and GPU and not...

    Battlefield V performance

It's going to be 1080p, that why I ask as the FPS will be capped at 60 FPS on my Sony wall mounted TV. I don't see the point on spending too much on a card if I'm only going to get 60FPS max, but there again if I'm spending £1100 on a new base unit then I would like to play it at the highest...

    Battlefield V performance

If I buy a Ryzen 7 2700x and a RX 580 8GB will I be able to play BFV at the highest settings, or will I need a better card?

What do you think of this build?

Thanks for your help, but I won't do the bundle as I won't ever buy anything ASUS ever again, I've had lots of problems with ASUS over the years. I tend to stick to MSI these days as they are reliable and the support is really good. In the 7 years I've had this PC it's been the best by miles...

What do you think of this build?

I've been out of the loop for a long time, so unless I'm in the market for PC components and I've been doing some reading, I really don't know what I should buy? My current i5 2500k is 7 years old, and the only money on the base unit I've spent since then is a GTX 970 I bought when Witcher 3 was...

    Which Wireless Headset?

Actually I changed my mind, paid £20 more and bought the new Corsair Vengeance 2100 which has a 10 hour battery life in comparison to the Tactic3D Omega which has a 3 hour battery life. The side joints on the new model are apparently redesigned and are much more robust than the 2000.

    Which Wireless Headset?

In the end I went for the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Omega Wireless for £98 incl delivery.

    Which Wireless Headset?

I'm looking for wireless headset for things like PC/console gaming, teamspeak and skype. Wired is out of the question and besides I already have a set of speedlinks. The Corsair Vengeance 2000 is a bit flimsy by all accounts. What would you recommend?

Sony W8 v W9 comparison and wall bracket question

I'm either getting the 55W805 or the 55W905 this week mainly due to the fact they they are both just about the best gaming TV's on the market. I'm trying to justify to myself the difference of £500 between the two models. I'm not that bothered about 3D tbh, so is the extra £500 on the W9 really...
