Got some bad news, connected the negative wire to the ground terminal again, and there was quite a significant bang. Opened it up and a resistor seems to have been obliterated (it was black and R53 if it's any use?)I can see the two wires so I can probably replace it. The crossover still turns...

Coming from a DJ mixer, standard RCA, going into a KAM KBA12 600w amp. Not using a crossover, didn't think I would need one if the frequency reponse only went up to 220hz :( I want to try and find a way round this without a crossover if I can. Thanks!
