****The Official 5G Home Broadband Thread**** (Three/EE/Vodafone/etc)

I sent back my NR5101 and have a modified CPE Pro 2 with 8 x SMA connectors now. 4 for 4G and 4 for 5G. I have 2 antenna attached, a poynting one with 4 cables for 4G and a bluespot 5G antenna with 2 cables attached. I could be wrong but the 2 antenna connectors on the zyxel will probably be...

Germany unfortunately. The ones on the forest come from Germany too but the import charges are paid

I think you'll find import charges on top.

I'm pretty sure they will be. They are the same as the one I have. I've just sent mine off to be modded. I'm having external antenna connectors fitted for 4g/5g. I've put up a bluespot 5g antenna to test on my other router with antenna connectors and it has made the world of difference.

You can get three branded unlocked ones too. Look for one that is unlocked but has a 'huawei' logo on the front instead of '3'. I can't link here but the ones on the forest are unbranded too I believe.

I got mine off of the bay. It is an import though as came with a european power supply. I'm not sure they are readily available to buy over here but the big green forest has some but come from Germany.

4g in my area is abysmal too. I've had to turn off volte on my phone because it keeps cutting out on phone calls. The upload speed is something like 0.1mbps

Did you find the performance as good on the TCL and cpe pro as good?

****The Official 5G Home Broadband Thread**** (Three/EE/Vodafone/etc)

No worries. I updated the modem and the firmware just incase but it made no difference. I was having a play last night and it was just really inconsistent. Last night around 12am I was getting 220Mb on fast.com. But then downloading any random file would only get 150Mb like it was capped. I...

Thanks Firegod There are some firmware files here https://support.zyxel.eu/hc/en-us/articles/4403365084818-Advanced-Downloads-for-5G-devices It's a shame as the router ticks all the boxes for me. I've tried everything and I can only get a third of the speed of my phone. I am going to try a cpe...

Cheers Firegod So yours does not function either if you set to '5G preferred' due to no SA? I'm still a bit baffled as to why the speeds are a third of what I get on my phone. Many thanks Rob

****The Official 5G Home Broadband Thread**** (Three/EE/Vodafone/etc)

Well the zyxel NR5101 turned up and it was faulty on arrival. It came with no outer box and something was rattling inside. I tested it and it would only pick up a 4g signal. The speeds were OK for 4g but when I set it to prefer 5g it wouldn't find anything. My phone gets a good 5g signal in the...

Thanks Tim I will see how the speeds are on three first then if good I might go with the dlink or zyxel. Vodafone speeds are pretty shocking even at full signal strength around here. I'm looking at load balancing in pfsense with my existing fibre connection I have to boost the speed. Cheers

****The Official 5G Home Broadband Thread**** (Three/EE/Vodafone/etc)

Thanks Tim. I see you can get an unlimited sim for a tenner a month or so. How much do you pay if you don't me asking? How do you find the dlink compared? Cheers

****The Official 5G Home Broadband Thread**** (Three/EE/Vodafone/etc)

Hi guys I'm thinking of trying three 5g broadband if the speeds are OK. I've got a sim coming to test and if they are I might sign up. I know they provide the huawei cpe pro 2 router but does anyone know if three disable bridge mode in the settings? I'd like to use my own router. Cheers

Thanks guys. The framerate seems very low on mine but after trying a better cable it's no longer stuttering at least.

**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S21 Family Thread ****

Does anyone use Android Auto with their S21's? I have the ultra and got a new car last month that is Android Auto compatible. It is just really laggy and the music starts to stutter after a while. I tried it with a OnePlus 7T I had lying around and that functions perfectly.

    The AMD Driver Thread

Does anyone have stutter/dropped frames with the last 2 releases from March? 21.2.3 was the last release that worked well for me. RX 6800 @ 4k, 120hz, freesync on a Samsung Qled TV. Cheers

***The Official 5600X \5800X owners thread***

I had a wraith prism cooler and had the temp jump to 90c instantly with multicore. I have now got a Fractal Design Celsius+ s24 and the temps have dropped considerably. I'd have gone with one of the top end Noctuas but they wouldnt fit in my small case. Multicore now hits 77c and gaming probably...
