Our house is up for sale now. Two viewings requested within the first hour of it being live. Hopefully it's been priced fairly and appeals to lots of first-time buyers. Fair play to the estate agent, the advert looks great, IMO.
Appreciate this is a bit of a "how long's a piece of string" question but I seem to be getting substantially different quotes for conveyancing for buying + selling. Online comparison tool quotes about £2k, whereas local firms about £3.5k. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Indeed. But if we don't offer then we may miss out on it completely! I'd rather offer and be rejected than not offer and never know. We were fully transparent with the owners as well.
Good question. My partner hasn't been to either and is keen to visit both. Looks like if we add Vienna in the middle it will be a good compromise of travel vs being in the cities. Looks a 2.5hr train from Budapest to Vienna and a 4hr train from Vienna to Prague. Perhaps if we spend 2 days in...
Given the AI ones outperform the humans, I wouldn't be against having an AI one. Obviously that doesn't account for the "human touch" or bedside manner etc. But from a purely technical perspective, I'm for it.
Thinking of an Eastern European trip in September for a few days. I've been to Prague and Budapest before and loved both. Has anyone done both in one trip before, with a train in between? Is this a good idea? Is it worth adding any other cities in? Bratislava or Vienna, perhaps?
Insert "I'm invincible.gif from Goldeneye". Managed to source a replacement from eBay and replace the screen myself. The ribbon cables were pretty dicey. Managed to escape with only a few minor injuries from prying the plastic trims off..
We're close to putting our house up for sale. We've been looking on Zoopla etc and have seen a couple we like within our desired area but they are so few and far between. We could be in a situation where we sell our house but it takes us considerable time to purchase a new house. Has anybody...
Went to view a house today as it looked suitable from the few photos there were online but they didn't show it in much detail. Turned up, estate agent didn't have a clue about the house nor did she show any interest in selling it. Current tenants were in there and the place was disgusting...
Screen in my 2019 Astra K seems be dying/have died. I can source a replacement on eBay for £120 from the UK or from AliExpress for £60 from China. Not sure which one to go with in case it transpires its not the screen at fault..
We are on the path to this, surely. Look at how much more realistic simulations have become in the last few decades. Computer graphics continue to tend towards photorealism. The question is, has it already happened without our awareness?
No, but then I moved to university at 18 and never had a job whilst living at parents.
Actually, that's a lie. I moved in with them for a couple of months during COVID whilst working remotely and they asked for something paltry like £20 a week from me to cover food. I did actually offer more to...
