Is it possible that they are using the wrong power supply? I did that with some bike lights and nearly ended up replacing them before I spotted that I was using a 9V psu to power a 12v charger.

Took my kindle apart the other week and think I managed to resolder the usb terminals, but not convinced it will last. It has a weird usb connection with wings that are screwed in. Not seen any like that before.
There seem to be a few discussions at work around us all starting again, so I may re-appear in here if my body decides to allow me to take part. Otherwise it is rowing machine (With no computer on it, as it appears to have broken :-/ ) or stationary bike for the foreseeable future.
We had a tiny tree in a pot back in 2007. just shoved it in a hole in the garden in Jan and it didn't die. Now it's about 12 feet tall and i'm beginning to wish I put it in a better place :-)

I have ended up with a Zenmuse XT Thermal camera & gimbal. The trouble is that, I don't have any idea if it works and I don't have a drone (Matrice 100 I believe?)

You could do laps around the outside, so that would probably be about 25M per full lap. 64 Laps per Mile. Apparently the average time for 25M for someone your age is around 40 seconds, so that would be about 45 Mins per mile.
