Don't forget, if it's an external wall (plasterboard --> cavity --> external brick) then you can just drill straight through the cavity and into the external brick.
Get a long screw, loosely put a red plug on it, then tap it back to the hole in the brick.
I use these on Plasterboard quite happily. Full height curtains on rails, blinds, towel rings, toilet roll holder, stair gates...

Ah that's annoying. There's a thing about larger drives clicking every so many seconds, which is apparently normal. I can't remember what it's called, but I'll see if I can find it
Cool, thank you, I'll check them out.
Power wise, even on my current one I have to be a bit careful. If I let the grass get too long the thing just clogs and can't handle it. Doesn't take much! Have to go super slowly
I've found the quietest to be the 'white label' WD's.
So the basic external Western Digital MyBook drives.
Easy to pop open without damaging the enclosure if you want to put it in something.
I've been looking for a new (used!) mobo for a little Unraid server and it seems there are already fewer SATA ports on boards. Getting one with 6 is almost impossible, 4 is the standard high now.
"A company spokesman added that the usual 10-year warranty for new-build homes had been extended to 25 years at the site."
At least that's something I guess
I'm all for the Fischers. I've recommended them in the past to my less DIY competent friends, as you can buy packs of matching screws & plugs, so there's no confusion. Tend to work on all types of wall too.
