I found it for £60 in duty free so snagged a bottle. The days of £48 are long gone for the 16yo

    The road to 39:59

I stuck with it until about July/start of August. I went from doing 8min/mile for 5miles at my best, to doing 9 miles at 7:30min/miles so it worked. Unfortunately work got in the way towards the end, so probably got down to a 42min 10km time. I live in an area of Suffolk with very few...

    Keeping up with the Markles

Harry did 10 years in the Army, I think it was poor wording that he'd served all of that in Afghanistan. However on his first tour he was a forward air controller attached to a troop from the Blues and Royals, and on his second he was an Apache pilot. Neither time was he surrounded by a dozen...

    New "Commuting" jacket

Keep an eye on SportPursuit, they sometimes have Arc bags. Also there's the Arc'teryx outlet, which has last season etc.

    The road to 39:59

So ends my first week back after a week off. Appendicitis kids, not even once, 1/10 would not recommend. Worked up from 3 miles, to 6, another 6, then 7 tonight. Back to just under 8 min/mile over 7 miles, which is about where I was before I paused the program. I've also pushed back my race...

    The road to 39:59

As above I’m aiming for a 10km time of sub-40mins, so I’m always trying to push myself a bit faster on the repeats, and I’m using the longer runs for recovery and stamina.

    The road to 39:59

Taking advantage of the lockdown I’ve been trying to up my running game by completing one of the Garmin Connect training programs. Garmin allow you to set a distance and choose a coach, to achieve a race time. I’ve gone for a 10km race to start, however they’ll only let you go as low as...

    Spec me a Family Car

Mazda 6 Estate? There's the 2.2D with 175hp, similar to the VRS diesel, and has Mazda reliability. Should be quite a few available in your budget with low miles. https://www.mazdausedcarlocator.co.uk/used-cars/11169694-mazda6-2-2d-se-l-nav-5dr-auto/ eta Example

It was a lovely build, felt like they'd put a lot of effort into the order of operation and instructions. In contrast, I built the Lego Defender a couple of months ago, and it just didn't feel nice to build.

    Early i7 upgrade advice

Cheers, that's my plan. New plan is to throw a new card at it and if it can't/won't work then it's new parts time. Thanks all.

    Early i7 upgrade advice

Blimey, cheers for the quick response. I'm not overclocking at the moment, though what the above doesn't list is a Corsair AIO water cooler and an SSD. So, almost certainly my motherboard will support a modern 10 series GPU?

    Early i7 upgrade advice

Evening all, I've been out of the PC building and upgrading loop for a few years now, but my current PC isn't cutting the mustard for newer games. Is there anything stopping me throwing a 1070/1080 at my current system or am I looking at a more widespread upgrade? Thanks in advance
