I use a Shelly 1PM (bit overkill). Out of box has daylight feature, used to have sonoff using tasmota doing drive lights for years but replaced last year with the Shelly.
So, quick garden update from where we left off. Photos are a bit patchy as stopped taking so many but hopefully gives you a sense of what I'm doing!
Fencing
Our neighbors turned into an AirBnb so we wanted some privacy which pushed us to get the fence done also with a dog on the way wanted it...
Absolutely. With VM I'd have been shouting at someone and not heard anything for a few weeks with multiple call backs going through troubleshooting steps every single call.
Had my first outage today at 11 this morning.
So far quite impressed. Phoned up and got straight through to support.
Quick troubleshoot confirmed I needed second line support, said they'd be in touch.
Within 5 minutes had a call and they said it's going to get escalated again.
Team arrived...
What I have got too, my first printer.
So far also really happy out of the box. Still getting the odd issue like bad layers sometimes but overall great. Complete newb to proper profiles.though and mostly kept defaults in cura at the moment.
Just got octoprint going and printed box for the pi...
Yeah some reviews seem to say swapping out to klipper makes it even better but to be honest this is all super new to me and probably going to keep me happy. Planning on some drawer inserts for Ikea Alex and some other smaller things.
Check in from Bristol, been active 3 months now and been pretty stable. Have had 2-3 small outages (seconds/minutes) but nothing that causes me concern. The flexibility the speed gives is great!
Yeah but believe they're paid. So you have stuff like MEEE which allow you to set auto advancement of roles based on things like posts / VC time etc.
You can setup ruies channels natively now (although might lack some features) where people need to react to get granted a role. If you want to do...
My link speed was ~142Mbit with brand new wiring, 1 powerline on a ring final and another powerline on 1st socket of a ring final.
That was simply the max I could get with a gigabit one in what I'd say is best case scenario. On same ring maybe you'll get better, but can't imagine it would be much!
Only 4000 series though, 5000 series is out of reach with inflation.
To be honest, with 100m in the bank you could never spend it if you're smart. Just in a bank alone you're going to be making 5m+ a year, which is more than enough for most people. There is a reason the super wealthy are so...
Well... Americans get taxed whereas we don't.
I'd definitely stay quiet if I won this sort of amount. Probably start my own Nigerian prince scam email service, where it's actually real.
