Just packed up my Marantz NR1200 and B&W 607 Think I'm switching over to a soundbar, room is too awkward to have bookshelves without sacrificing how it looks. And tbh, after listening to some decent soundbars, I'm not sure how much I'm missing out on

Depends on the features/channels you need I guess. I got a NR1200 from Marantz which I'm very happy with but it's 2 channels only. I don't need any more but do need the Spotify connect, earc, hdmi switching etc.

Mine definitely sound better on stands compared to the built in cupboards that they were on. But I'm also more able to move them to better position them on stands too, so that might be what's actually improving it
