Just seen the prices, bahahahahahahaaaaa! I've been a day-one buyer of every generation since the 900's and I've got no desire to upgrade from my 3080 to a 4080, especially when the 12gb was obviously going to be the 4070. I'll see what Radeon brings, or more likely I'll just wait for the...

The 3080 being such a monster, and the crypto market pooping itself, will hopefully mean less demand for the 4000's. I'll upgrade, but not for more than the RRP, scalpers and resellers can fupp off!

If you look at gaming benchmarks there's not much in it, but for workstation stuff the 5900x is a noticeable jump, if you're going to single-pc stream I think the 5900x will future proof you for a lot longer.

Yeah, bundles CPU + GPU, and maybe vouchers with single purchases, 'buy an 6000 GPU get a £50 voucher against a 5000 CPU' etc...

Arrived today, popped into my system, locked the fan to 50%, it sits at 1740mhz -56c on desktop, it boosts to 1950mhz - 72c while I'm playing Call of Duty Warzone. I've not attempted any form of overclock.

It's about 10% better for 100% more money. It's not a Ti, it's an almost-titan.

I think the Ti comes into play when Nvidia switch from Samsung's 8nm process to TSMC's 7nm process in the spring as speculated. I've just watched Linus's review, Nvidia are claiming the 3090 is for content creators, so when the 3080 Ti surpasses it they'll say that was always going to be the case.
