2nd Inno3d 2080ti card just failed this morning. Great white splotches and then card hangs.
First one was coloured speckles all over. Previously, card was running at 93c all the time, with the new one, set-up a very loud fan profile for 73c max. Still failed.
Grr .... going back but the week...
Inno3d 2080ti x2 OC
Ran for 4 days - reached 84-85c in games but fans never went to 100% -= stayed about 50%
5th day or so, began to get random coloured blocks on the screen and the game freezing or giving Fatal DirectX Error 11000002
6th day, PC began to reboot or shutdown during games...
OCUK said all their cards run at 84+c on air ... ouch.
The fans never wound up to 100% by themselves even when max temp reached. Only manually could I get them to bring the temps down. Very odd.
Anyhow, usual no quibble RMA by OC ... but no new one shipped out until old received and tested...
Be happy for it to just stay alive for more than 10 mins :)
Sounds like some thermal issues here. These cards, for normal gaming, should be plug and play. I'm not a novice builder but if I need custom cooling rig then the card design is messed. Ho hum :)
Hmm .. received my Inno3D GeForce RTX 2080 Ti X2 OC last week. Stock with no manual OC or anything daft.
Works fine until I stress it. Default fan profile gets it up to 84c ... manually setting fans to max (too bleeding noisy), drops to 64c or so. But .. keeps crashing...
Just about to order this but 2 concerns if anyone can comment:
Has anyone calibrated this screen to see if the colour accuracy can be improved? This will be used for photoshop and images.
Is the M.2 easily accessible in order to replace it with a 1Tb unit?
Do wish it had a fingerprint reader...
Just ordered one of these - use Photoshop for architecture stuff so did not want to chance distorted straight lines.
The PC is used for both games and photo stuff - do you think a GTX 770 will be man enough for it? Not seen any specific reviews of 34" 21:9 and such cards. the main game at...
Thanks for the amazingly speedy and helpful replies - genuinely appreciated.
Don't use Firefox (only Chrome) but the other stuff I'll have a go at. Never thought about not enough juice for the card - one to try. And the TDR thread holds some useful nuggets.
Hmm .... considered advice sought as I think I have made a rather poor decision.
A new build PC with the i7-3960 on a Asus X79 Sabertooth, 16Gb RAM and a Asus GeForce GTX 560Ti. Dual 24" screens - Dell and an Eizo 243 CGW.
Usage? 90% Photoshop thus don't need dual video cards etc.
My...
The Intel forums are full of people with bricked X25 Gen 2 drives. Seems to happen with both Win 7 and Vista systems - both RAIDed and standard.
Personally, my firmware update worked fine but I am as nervous as heck now each time I reboot.
