Sounds like you are upscaling the 2k picture to full rather than running at 4k. No issue so long as that is what you want to do.

if you are worried use a strap. If you are not worried don't. I just touch the radiator before I start, never had an issue yet.

Strip it completely out out the case. Check and rebuild using minimal hardware to see if it stays stable in cold boot. I would not use the H100i but cheap air cooler for testing. How old is the PSU? When did issues first start?

What PC case do you have? What is the airflow like? Are all the fans spinning? Trying running with the case open. This is on top of everything mentioned above.

Alternatively. 3.5mm cable extenders from the rear to the front of the case. You will only have to reach around the case once then.

I have an MSi 2080s and LG superwide 3440 x 1440 120hz monitor set to 100hz and runs silent and on very high settings. Playing Strange brigade and Wolfenstein young blood. Not noticed any drop so far. I couldn't be happier on an old ivy bridge system.
