    Fanxiang S880

This is what I am trying to establish. There is few reviews online, but the ones that there are say its a very good drive using parts found in other well know brands.

    Fanxiang S880

Any one have any experience with the fanxiang S880 drive. Look quite good value, but being an unknown brand has me wary.

    S9+ Wifi connection

Thanks for this. Very informative. Unfortunately I don't think my BT Smart Hub router allows for changing the RTSP, nor even splitting 5Gz and 2.4Ghz channels.

    S9+ Wifi connection

So after a day of tinkering I think I have found the issue. Using a wifi analyser I found that the router and disc switch over when the signal falls below -72db. So when I go into my kitchen the signal drops and it switches to the disc, but then i got back to my lounge and the signal drops to...

    S9+ Wifi connection

Yeah this appears to be across all devices. I just conducted a test with both my phone (S9), and wife (M31). Both connected to the kitchen disc and downloading around 30mbps. When wifi on both devices is toggled then they connect straight to the lounge router and download at 300mbps.

    S9+ Wifi connection

Hi all, Hopefully someone will be able to help on an issue I have discovered with my S9. My home has BT Fibre 900 with the router in the lounge and a BT disc installed in my back kitchen. When I am in the lounge and turn on my phones WiFi it will connect to the 5Ghz mode and download at...

    3090 FE acceptable memory temps

Thanks for your reply. This is what I was concerned about. Either shipping this card to across the globe, or spending money on a repad to have hardly any improvement. Based on your experience I am going to stick to my anti sag stand with backplate heatsink / fan combo.

    3090 FE acceptable memory temps

Hi folks, I know this has been a much discussed hot topic and many have re-padded their 3090 to improve memory temps. I am in a predicament where Nvidia have issued an RMA after I reported my memory temps rocketing to 112C with any load. However for the last year I have lowered these greatly...

    NVIDIA RMA experience

Without a prop does your fan ramp up to 100% and the mem hit 112C before thermal throttling? That's what mine does without a prop. With the prop it's ace, cool and quiet.

    NVIDIA RMA experience

Hi all, I have a 3090 that I am considering RMA'ing due to high memory temps. I have a fix, that being a Lego stand, and the card is cool and quiet with this solution, but without it memory rockets to 112c and 100% fan with throttling. I noted my experience here. Part of me want to keep it...

    3090 FE RMA opinion?

Have you tried a small fan and heatsink? This wipes another 4-5 C from my vram temp. Cost me under £10.

    3090 FE RMA opinion?

I would say 4. Your first post on this thread says in Quake RTX the VRAM doesn't go past 98, with fans at 60-70 %. Seems pretty good so I don't really know what you are trying to achieve?

    3090 FE RMA opinion?

Great to hear you had a similar success. Its great to drop those temps without taking the card apart. My first attempt dropped them temps by a fair amount, then I took it one step further and applied a load of pressure and the temps went through the floor. I fairly am confident this will not...

    3090 FE RMA opinion?

That sounds like a very reasonable explanation! The temperature changes as I insert and remove the lego tower is instant, indicating an air gap as the contact is lost.

    3090 FE RMA opinion?

Yeah this is where I am conflicted. The reason that I even went down this rabbit hole was this video . So it is not an isolated incident, just perhaps a less known fix.

    3090 FE RMA opinion?

Hi all. Thanks for all you input and suggestions. I have conducted some tests with quite remarkable results. All tests consisted of running Quake RTX for 10 mins with all stock settings and a PL of 114% of maximum heat. I tried custom fan curves and underclocks, but this was more a remedy for...

    3090 FE fan curve

You are right about the instability with the undervolt. I found that even some undervolt settings that were rock solid in Quake RTX and Control would randomly crash in the least demanding games. So in the end my 'undervolt' is actually a mhz cap where I have the voltage curve max out at 1750mhz...

    3090 FE fan curve

Hi all, Interested to hear if anyone uses a custom Afterburner curve for their 3090 FE. I have spent the last week tinkering and trying to lower the fan speed with some success. The stock fan curve seams to rocket from 60% once the vram temps climb, though a simple fan curve seems to overcome...

    3090 FE RMA opinion?

I think this is the way. It may be possible that there is nothing wrong with the card and the lego mod simply improves the cooling (I found someone else on YouTube recreate this problem). I applied a underclock of 0.85 and locked the core at 1750mhz. Card was completely silent with zero coil...

    3090 FE RMA opinion?

I think it is the sheer weight making it sag. I have heard of the sag issue, but more from a cosmetic POV, never a situation where it actually affects performance as in this case, hence my concern
