Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone (Battlenet ID's in OP)

    I also tested Extreme + DLAA at 2160p - looks like I need a 4090 to keep that 115 fps :p

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone (Battlenet ID's in OP)

Tried Rebirth at 3440x1440. Using Extreme preset and DLAA was mostly around 135/140 FPS but fluctuated anywhere between 115 and 160. Tried again but this time with Fidelity FX CAS instead of DLAA and I would say was at least 40 FPS better on average :p (RTX 4080) DLAA did look nice though tbf...

    Best cpu for gaming

I'm not sure why some on here are so quick to dismiss Intel. If you want to get most of the potential out of the box and run stock + EXPO for a gaming system then get the 7800X3D. If you do not mind tweaking or want better multithreaded perf then go for the Intel chip :) Either system should...

    Best cpu for gaming

HT has been around a lot longer than E cores and yet there are still games that have better CPU performance with HT off. Or SMT off in the case of AMD. But right now I think the 14700K is a better choice than the 7800X3D (which I have) unless you have plans to upgrade on AM5 or maybe also if all...

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone (Battlenet ID's in OP)

70 fps sounds rough, try setting the Basic preset then turning the texture quality back up to normal or high and use Fidelity FX CAS (Sharpening). Should look decent enough :p

    Tuning 7800x3D for optimal performance

I have the same board and I'm on the 2nd latest (7D75v1E5 - which is beta). Seems to be pretty good so haven't felt to need to update to stable 1E. BIOS older than the 1E3 and newer than the 1A have an issue with NVME slot 2 iirc Well you can probably set PBO to something between -20 to -30 all...

    Tuning 7800x3D for optimal performance

Good to hear, what BIOS did the board ship with btw? Probably only get a few more % with tuning, depends how much effort you want to put in, OS likely more of a factor :(

    **THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

You can watch just the one from 4 months ago. I'm not sure why you are getting hung up on the near 100% I am saying that his testing shows there is a system latency penalty at 100% GPU which can be alleviated by Reflex. So I would use it in games that support it. :)

    **THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Watch the battle(non)sense videos to see what I am talking about - max GPU usage affects latency compared to say 90% usage but with Reflex it is not an issue.

    **THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Driver level caps aren't as good and if your GPU gets too close to 100% it will have a latency impact ;)

    **THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Except if you reach the vsync cap you will get increased latency as it will be just standard vsync in effect. Edit: I should add that depending on how high that cap is it might not matter - like on 240Hz and above displays :p

    **THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Reflex should help lower input latency in any game it is in particularly if GPU is at almost 100% usage. It should also automatically cap frame rate below your monitor limit when Vsync is on thus avoiding the latency penalty there. :)

    City Fibre

Going straight to London is probably for the best. Not far from Leeds and my old Yayzi connection went straight to london resulting in 7ms pings to servers there. Currently my Youfibre connection appears to go via Manchester first and so pings to London are 10ms/11ms. Not exactly a meaningful...

4K gaming with 144/165/240 Hz monitors

Got a 4080 and play on 120Hz 2160p screen. Feel like I could use some extra grunt tbh :p but ultimately depends on the games you play and DLSS (mostly) does its job where necessary.

    Ryzen 7950X3D, 7900X3D, 7800X3D

Not an error, deliberate so it does not appear as 'Custom' Well it shows FG on in your screenshots and Custom :p

    Ryzen 7950X3D, 7900X3D, 7800X3D

Are you benching Low with Frame Gen on ? :p Also why do the developers think it is a good idea for presets in this game to have upscaling set to Auto so making comparisons is less useful!

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Well tbh you can't go by the relative averages in there, probably cases where the 4090 is held back more by the CPU than the 4080 is. And TPU used a 5800X in the initial reviews which is a bit of a fail imo :p Still I think the 5080 should be around 4090 performance, if it is not then it best...
