The arma 2 is a well known issue, but yes the second part is probably my hard drive, I am just trying to highlight that the 'saviour of pc gaming' steam is also bug ridden.

While in theory this works, I've had a lot of issues with this, files corrupting e.t.c. and not being fixable leading to a full reinstall.

It's no worse than when Steam decides that it has to update your game by redownloading all 7gb again (arma 2) or when it constantly corrupts files, the way it trys to install graphics drivers for you and ****s it up, or when the servers get busy and it won't let you play your own games without...

Ok, but out of all the pvp fights you have had in a game, how many of them have been with some of exactly the same gear, point distribution, ping e.t.c. as you, 0.000001%, if that? It's true, in a 1 vs 1 situation skill should be the deciding factor, but in MMOs there are so many other...

If you would be so kind as to link me your account stats for some games with a high skill cap so we can see how good you are then? And thus, MMOs dont count, because being good at an MMO requires a very marginal amount of skill, but a very high amount of time.

Looking down your list, I cannot think of any well known games you have not played, if you cannot find ANY that fit the bill, I'd either suggest that MMOs are not for you, you need to seriously find a good guild or some friends to play MMOs with, or that you should wait for the new releases...

Ok, I some how managed to miss the announcement ENTIRELY and have only just found out it has all been revealed. I saw that it's 64 player, but I also saw that they most likely won't release mod tools and that there are no commanders. What other features of Battlefield 2 are there missing...

You can count me in for the rift guild, I've finally decided I will be buying the game.

It actually scales extremely well, I can say for a fact you will get a very playable framerate on that laptop with those specs on the lowest settings.

No dungeon finder (thank god!) There are battlegrounds called warfronts on pve servers as well as pvp servers, afaik not cross server. There may be a world pvp system in place at launch but we don't actually know, hopefully something more meaningful than random gankings will be involved.

But it's obviously a wind up...

On what hardware? I'm on Alpha and I still cannot get above 50 (which means it's normally lower, often barely scraping 30 when there are a large number of effects e.t.c.) using the games predefined 'ultra' setting that has a lot of things like AA, AF off, and things like Shadow Resolution...
