Like others have said, a lot of MMO's desire single core performance. I used to play EverQuest 2 (which came out 2004), I still dont think anyone can max that out properly. I got lag with lots of players on screen with a 5ghz i7 lol.

I don't have buyers remorse in the slightest, 6 cores / 12 threads is more than enough for the forseeable future. I still think that its fantastic being able to reach 5ghz on air with a hyperthreaded 6 core. It wasnt that long ago when I was struggling to hit 4.5ghz on my i5 4690k.

Do we know whether this monitor will support HDR? (and if so what type?)

I found a second hand GTX 1080 (MSI Gaming) for £400 which I thought was a good deal. Still not cheap though :( GTX 1080's have gone back up in value on the used market since the introduction of the GTX 1070 Ti.

Yeah Gaming K6 is looking like my current favourite. It's a shame the Extreme4 doesn't have the debug LCD otherwise I would probably be tempted to go with that instead.
