I didn't even think to interact with them when I was in the area. There's so much to the game. I was just doing quests and almost barrelled into the ending. Haven't even got all the vocations yet so I did a 180 and kept exploring.

I just unlocked the trickster vocation and that's an odd one. At level 39, my pawns just kill everything and I'm not sure if my smoke clouds and ghost guy did anything at all.
