I'm deffo going this route on my next upgrade with pretty much the same attitude, if it burns in, not too bothered about it, the protections are decent on them these days. Anyways, the trade off is more than worth it.

On my 1080ti it tuned to 1949mhz @ 1.050v ~60c, a lot more conservative compared to my usual 2025mhz @ 1.025v. Abit dissapointed but not really surprised.

Change min cpu cache ratio to auto, should do the trick.

Even that would be the equivalent of a current Ryzen at 5ghz+ which is great, if we dare to imagine 15-20% ipc gain and more clockspeed then wow.

The real comparison will be 6/12 vs 8/8, will be close probably with the 8/8 edging it.

Might be something to do with Disk Cleanup utility, some people reported it has been deleting the downloads folder.

Try capping the power limit % in afterburner to 70-80%, see if that makes any difference. If it doesn't reboot then gpu should be ok.
