What do you think of the 4070Ti?

Valve don't need to make profit on it, it can be underwritten by Steam. In fact their entire business is dependent on having accessible PC hardware available to drive game sales so much like the console companies (though obviously less locked in) it makes sense to try and keep the price low.

    Lian-Li PC-011 rig photos?

I struggled to take pictures with the glass on, it's so reflective and I don't have enough lights! This was a rebuild from a slightly dubious custom case and amazingly I only needed 2 extra 90 degree bends to make it work. I'm very happy with it but a couple of the pipes need trimming by a few...

Graphics card crashing as soon as stressed - GPU or PSU?

Thanks for the help, I'll try stressing the IGP and order a PSU tester.

Graphics card crashing as soon as stressed - GPU or PSU?

I've had an Arctic Storm 1080ti for ~2 years from new. It's a factory watercooled min-itx card. It has never shown any issues until last week when it just started crashing. They symptoms are the monitor (3440x1440 Predator X34P) loses signal as soon as 3D starts and you can hear the Windows...

    Obstacle / mud races

Was the Winter Wolf last weekend? How was it? Not very wintery if the weather was anything like it was near London! I did Nuclear Fallout on Saturday which was amazing. I don't much like running but love OCR.

The Manwich (WC, ITX scratch build)

Ah, I didn't use an insert. I used to have a spring insert but found that it was so hard to get it out of the pipe that it wasn't worth it (and it got ruined by the extraction process anyway). Maybe that's my problem.

Those were made with a pipe bender. I've done 2 loops using soft copper tubing before and was able to make nice 90 degree bends without issue using the same tools This stuff behaved exactly like the hard copper I once bought by accident.

Back from holiday and I've finally fudged the VGa connection. Turns out I needed a DisplayPort U-bend: Some additional cable-cramming was then required (cable management would be too grand a term :) ) but it's now re-assembled. NMext step it to order the tempered glass and remaining panels.

The Manwich (WC, ITX scratch build)

A bit of delay before I can finish this as Easter is busy and I've had some continuing struggles fitting the displa connection in. Why the hell are displayport plugs so long?

Here is a picture of it running, though it's not finished yet: I have a displayport adaptor coming then I need to add the bottom, top and tempered glass. Also some lighting.

It's a D5 and having it held by the pipes means it's really well isolated. I have the system running now (posting from it in fact :) ) and it's dead quiet. I'll update with some pictures soon.

As far as I can tell I need one of the expensive active adaptors. I'll go that route if I can find a second hand one. Right angled DisplayPort cables/adaptors are rare and expensive as well. I seriously considered that! My current monitor is Qnix 2710 2560x1440 at 90hz and looking at the...

The Manwich (WC, ITX scratch build)

I've finished sleeving the cables which was an absolutely horrid task. I had to made some extension since the CPU 8-pin and 24-pin power cables were too short but I hadn't counted on the male pins having been designed by an evil sadist. This is the second time I've made cables and I won't do it...

I couldn't find many options for people on the internet who could laser cut aluminium and worked with the public (not just other businesses). I used Essex Laser and it was about £200. Not cheap but from what I gather not too unreasonable.

I decided to break up the purple a bit with some white accents on the side panels Plus it covered up where I chipped the paint around the screws. And to match I've now got white Varders nice. And here is the kit that's going in, except the cue-tips. tiny 1080ti, massive rads I didn't...

Thanks! Yes you are correct. I had trouble scaling the grill design with both the fans and screw holes without merging them. In the end I got fed up and took the shortcut of just removing some of the external screw holes. Somebody wiith better CAD skills (this project is the first time I've used...

The Manwich (WC, ITX scratch build)

Yes, the GPU goes parallel. I had all of the EK parts bar a couple of fittings already, I had the loop running in a really awful prototype already. That's a good idea about the tray sliding in, though then I'd have to get it CNC'd rather than lasered which I think would work out more expensive...

I hadn't seen that one before. You're riight, they look similar and are about the same size (this will be about 25% taller) but the componenet layout is different.

I have the side and mid-panels back from the laser-cutter: I was debating for a long time how to finish the side panels. I considered leaving it brushed or painting it yellow, but in the end I went a bit mad and chose Pantone Colour of the Year - Ultraviolet! Votes for Women! And here it is...

The Manwich (WC, ITX scratch build)

Welcome to the Manwich Project. This is the result of my long-time desire to have a truly unique case that caters to some specific requirements: A small desk footprint Enough radiator space to cool silently Show off the flashy components and tubes :) I was initially inspired by the...
