I never thought I’d love AW2 so much but it’s great fun. Addictive role play elements and combat is really good.
A bit of Skyrim, God of War, and maybe even a bit of dark souls. Puzzles are interesting. Almost been worth getting the Quest 2 to Quest 3 upgrade for.
Proper Quest 3 graphics still...
Really recommend VR Optician for prescription lens. Mine came today. Took just under a week to go from Germany to UK. Paid £7 for postage.
Lenses clip in nice and secure, look good quality. Vision is perfect now.
Had my prescription checked last week which was handy as was a change.
Hmm I’ve gotten hold of some 3D movies to watch on my Quest 3 at some point. Haven’t done so yet as usually watch films with the missus/family. Rather play games when I’ve got it strapped to my head.
Vision Pro will need some killer apps/games to make me consider it
Are there any 3D movies (films) higher than 1080p?
If using it just to watch 4K HDR movies when you don’t have the space for a 77” OLED then that’s possibly a use case
Had a look myself yesterday after hearing the news. Loaded it up but didn’t notice any difference. Is there a list anywhere of the changes. In dungeons of eternity you can turn the enhancements on/off for example
That’s great. Thanks very much. Had a quick peek at the manual downloaded. Will disable 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz as will only be used for Quest. Determined to get clarity equal to my Reverb G2 and there’s no AV1 over wired yet
So I’ve ordered a TP-Link AXE5400 router. This isn’t to replace my existing R7800 router (which is the other side of the house and works solid) but to add a WiFi 6E network in my ‘man cave’.
I have Ethernet cable going to my cave that goes to a gigabit switch. So I replace the gigabit switch...
There’s more game profiles available than the list provided on that spreadsheet but it’s a case of wading through each game’s discord to find a link, e.g. that’s how I found the High On Life profile am using.
Got the Bobo M3 Pro as seemed to be popular round here. Miles more comfortable than the standard strap.
Feels heavier on my head even without the battery fitted. That I can cope with.
Not sure I like the sideways wobble though. Has anyone changed to Kiwi one and found it as comfortable and...
Virtual Desktop and Air Link work fine for me for my Quest 3. Tried Steam Link and it looks ok but get constant jitter. Tried playing about with the 2 sliders. Only have 5Ghz WiFi though.
Been wondering if it’s worth upgrading to 6E but most of the time am happy with wired
Playing High On Life in VR yesterday, was brilliant. Works perfectly though couldn’t sort it out wirelessly on my Quest 3. Wired fine.
Needed a 3DOF profile to be imported via discord link as not moving with head tracking made me feel queasy.
6DOF meant to be working but am happy with joypad
Native RE4 was excellent. I’d say best native game so far for me. No issues with how it looked or run, enjoyed it from start to finish.
Assume AW2 is as good/better ?
10/10 !!
Wasn’t really looking forward to this previously as found the first one got boring after a while. Compared to Skyrim for example gameplay was just so thin IMO.
Had a look to see if this was finally my justification to get a Quest 3 (plus all the head strap and lens costs).
Then...
I’m a varifocus glasses wearer so I naturally point my head to where I look. I have a small sweet spot IRL !
I’ll be getting Q3 for standalone but fairly sure I will keep my G2 as using a friends Q3 on their sim rig I see the compression fuzziness. Yes I could spend hours and hours tweaking...
