    Sir Tony Blair

I don't personally think that Tony Blair did anything worthy of a knighthood, but it is tradition.. Of course, nobody likes tradition these days, I am waiting for the formal book burnings and the legal requirement to wear specific clothing, have government approved haircuts etc.. But that's not...

** The Official Space Flight Thread - The Space Station and Beyond **

No, this was always part of the plan. Starbase is a test site, pad 39A was always intended as the primary launch site for starship.

Cash is only used by the poor or elderly

Before the hell that we now live in, I always preferred to pay in cash, especially when there would be the odd occasion where the card machines would go down. Course back then it was usually just a case of grabbing a few things on the way back from the office.. Now though, getting it all...

    Dune (2020) - Denis Villeneuve

I was really looking forward to this, but in the end it was just a little sterile for me. Perhaps the 84 version has tainted my perception of what the film should be, but there was just something about it that didn't draw me in to the story at all. And I am sure I'll not be the only one, who at...

    Dreaded Appointment

I am sorry to hear this, it is never easy to lose a part of your family. While you may say that you may not ever have another dog, do not rule it out. My mother said the same thing a few years ago when her cat passed away "I'm too old, and they cause my allergies to flare up", and within a...

Those who shout abuse at retail workers

I don't think that this is limited to retail, but is a fact of life for anyone working in a service industry. A good portion of my day, is listening back to recorded calls where our staff have been verbally abused for something that in many cases, has nothing to do with our company at all. And...

    Babylon 5 reboot?

When I saw that JMS is at the helm I was yay! When I saw that it was the CW I was boo! When I saw that they are giving JMS 'creative freedom' I thought Hmmm! All in all, I don't know what to think, if they pull off a Galactica then I will certainly give it a chance, but I fear that the CW will...

Getting the Eurostar at St Pancras

Last time I did the trip, it was exactly that, border controls take time unfortunately. And to be honest, coming back is much worse as the french border guards are slower than british rail.

    It's funny how (fuel shortages)

I do rather wonder if all these people filling up multiple fuel cans, know what the legalities are of storing petrol at home..

    Secret Hobbies ?

I started painting some figures last year, for something to do, but they're so damn fiddly and small, and my eyesight isnt what it was, so I've abandoned that idea and am currently working on model vehicles instead (a series 3 land rover currently) though they can be just as fiddly at times.

What have you overclocked/modded other than a PC?

I overclocked a toaster once, but the bread got burnt too quickly, so I turned it back down..

I've been using 'who gives a ....' for the last year or two, mainly cuz 48 rolls lasts quite some time when its just you using it. sheets are a little smaller, but you don't really notice aftter a while.

How do you feel about cosplay?

How about this? Even went so far as to have the original armourer (Terry English) build it to the original design for the film
