    Question about center speaker placement

You could mount the centre speaker above the TV, but make sure to angle it so the tweeter is facing your ears

Aren't you the guy who is worried about remortgaging because interest rates have gone up and had to sell some of your HP sauce cars to pay for it lol

FBI raided the neighbour's house today

My parents old neighbours were raided when I was quite young. Turned out to be **** loads of cocaine. This was a quiet cul de sac middle class area. It is quite enjoyable to watch tbh, a large battering ram next door, although was at 6am so bit of a fright :D

*** Big Fat Weight Loss Thread ***

Lost 1 stone 9 pounds since 8 January. Aiming for another 1 stone then I'll be close to my ideal weight. Aiming for late June. In a bit of a stalemate when it comes to clothes, don't want to buy any until I'm at my goal weight, and my current ones don't fit lol

    Fleecehold

Hmm. If you can do what you suggested then that sounds the way forward, at least then you'll get market value for the property. You don't want to leave it too much longer re the lease. If you're happy to downsize, then that may be the best option for your finances going forward. Go for a...

    Fleecehold

Yep. Difference between this and leasehold is that the company can't take your house away from you, as the freeholder can for a leasehold if you don't pay the ground rent (or fine you extortionate amounts for late payment). All that can happen I think is they can take you to court for not...

These houses are ''freehold" with a service charge, the estate agent will definitely tell you the former and may tell you the latter.

Haha would never happen, estate agents won't even tell you until you go through solicitors most likely. Probably best bet is to look at the title deeds for £3.

    Fleecehold

Agree. I would be tens of thousands better off if I rented my flat instead of buying. This pressure to get on the housing ladder is just silly, especially if it's a leasehold or a help to buy. Both as bad as each other.

    The Apprentice 2024

I think he will win the next one. He will probably get to the interview stage. He's come too far and lost too much to leave now. It is too obvious for him to lose and leave.

What film did you watch last night?

The Dark Knight on 77G3. The imax scenes with the added brightness was incredible. The explosions. Omg.

Of course they will increase in line with RPI at least. Anyone buying one of these should know that when buying the property (and that's partly the job of your solicitor). Another issue with leasehold flats is heating. They usually have communal heating, which of course means the price cap does...

    Fleecehold

Exactly. If you want to be in financial ruin for the rest of your life, buy a leasehold. The amount of stress relief I got from selling mine in 2022 was crazy. If I waited until now, I'd be a further £40k down, on top of the £30k I had already lost buying it in 2017.

    Fleecehold

I got out of a leasehold a couple of years ago. It was one of the most stressful times of my life. There's so many issues with flats. Service charges, ground rent, cladding, those with less than 125 years remaining being classed as an AST, flat prices have fallen by a crazy amount, the costs to...

    Fleecehold

Never buy leasehold. Never buy freehold with a service charge. It is a scam. They can ask for whatever money they want at any time and you have to pay it. Freehold and freehold only.

    LG OLED 2023 Thread - A3, B3, C3, G3

Nice one! I just bought a G3 myself, haven't installed it yet but can't wait. I've had many lg oleds in the past including the wallpaper oled when it came out (the W7, was the first one in the UK to get one :p), gx, now G3. There is a bit, as you may see vertical banding more present out of...
