Casual gaming build - £500 budget

Hi all, I'm trying to help a friend out, he is a very casual gamer - like Train Sim World, Cities Skyline, FSX etc.. so probably not the most demanding games. But his current PC is struggling , I was trying to run CoD MW2 on it and it was bad, and that's 9 years old.. No huge requirements...

    Probably time I upgrade...

My PC is running like a dog these days, some issues when I turn it on and it will take several minutes and reboot during the process (it like gets stuck at POST).. randomly wakes up from sleep etc... I generally just do Lightroom/Photoshop work these days with casual gaming though feel like...

    Ebay buyers rights -warranty

Hi all I purchased a pair of headphones off ebay, 7 months ago. Now they have become faulty. The manufacturer says they don't have a valid warranty because they weren't purchased by their approved vendors and the seller says he only offers a 3 month warranty. Could any of the selling /...

    Sliding filters...Lee? Or others?

Yeah a lee holder and adapter ring. I guess I was just expecting it to not rotate much :) The weather was garbage over the weekend, total overcast so I didn't go out and try to use my big stopper...Fingers crossed for this weekend.

    Sliding filters...Lee? Or others?

Of course, not planning to walk around with a 10 stop nd filter on :)! But leaving it on the camera on the tripod while moving around a bit to change composition or whatever. I'm sure it's mine and just be expecting it to not move much. Hopefully the weather holds up at the weekend so I can go...

    Sliding filters...Lee? Or others?

For anyone with the 100mm system by Lee. I got mine today, I know it's meant to rotate on the adapter so you can align it if using an nd grad filter.. But it seems to rotate very easily and move around a bit. Normal? I guess I'd expect there to be a bit more resistance so when walking it...

    The Grand Tour

Some bits felt rushed, the army thing just dragged on and wasn't that funny, the wheel spin thing with James was just rather random .... Disappointed really with that episode.

Interesting.. I was running whatever came out of the box and that was the most up to date offering OTA at least.. So unless it is me going crazy, not sure what's wrong :(

    **** Official LG G4 Discussion Thread ****

Got one yesterday - can't say I'm that impressed. The touchscreen sensitivity doesn't seem great, I've put Swiftkey on as I've used it for years and can touch type very fast using it normally, however on the g4 it seemed to be not going so well. I can only assume it wasn't picking up keytouches...

    Audi A3 poor efficiency?

When I was watching it "live" it was often in the 30s and then going up to 60 - 100 if going down a slope. Well, at least people think its ok so I can stop worrying now. I don't do tonnes of miles anyway (yet bought a diesel I know), so the £ in fuel isn't probably a huge amount away and I...

    Audi A3 poor efficiency?

Would it make more sense then to use auto with cruise? Yeah his mondeo is a manual so not a like to like. I do log my fuel on fuelly.com actually, just checked it. So at the moment the A3 has average 42.5mpg, so a couple less than the computer - with the best tank being 47.9. That would work.
