I used to have the same model of laptop, they were very prone to motherboard failure. From memory I just threw mine in the bin because it wasn't worth fixing, blowing it up is a much more satisfying method of disposal.
At 40 I'm assuming your insurance won't be too expensive so insuring a more desirable car shouldn't be too much of a problem for you. It's all down to personal preference really, if you're going to replace a £500 car within a year you might as well go straight for the more expensive option.

It probably doesn't make much difference when you're older and insurance isn't as expensive but being 18 the difference in insurance between two seemingly identical cars can be several hundred pounds. Using the make/model selection on insurance websites doesn't give me an accurate quote so I...
The first thing I do when looking at cars is put the reg in to get an insurance quote. I find it quite annoying when the reg is covered up or hidden by the angle of the car, if I can't get an insurance quote then I'm not interested in the car.
Just showing off my handiwork, spent 8 hours detailing the 1275GT. Can anyone recommend a good wax to protect my paint? I don't want it fading in the sun or getting swirls.
You'd be surprised at just how roomy they are inside compared to a modern car. Me and my Dad are both about 6 ft 2 and both fitted fine (If you get used to touching your passangers leg when changing gear). Not to mention according to my friends there was more legroom in the back than there is in...
I'd try wet sanding it (1500/2000 grit sandpaper) and polishing it back up. It does just look like paint from the pole has been transferred to your bumper. It's worth a try since you can't really make it any worse. Worst case scenario you have to have it resprayed.
I sold my first car (a classic Mini) recently and felt a bit guilty about letting it go. I consoled myself by thinking how much more comfortable a modern car would be in winter though and how I wouldn't need to keep paying for welding.
I bought them a couple of years ago most likely from either Dunelm Mill or Matalan. Not completely sure though, they don't have any stickers on the bottom or anything.
I've got to say this wouldn't bother me at all. It makes no difference to you if she drives over corner of your drive for a couple of seconds a day, it's not like she's parking her car there and blocking you in. It's like you've got some sort of primate territory issue going on :p
I was really confused for a moment there at how familiar that KFC carpark looked, then I realised it would do since it's the same one I go to in Newcastle. My car earlier today after driving to college and then driving home again 15 minutes later when they decided to close it early. I fitted...
Bought a Citroen C2 1.4 Furio last week:

I'm going to have a go at unbolting that tow bar. God knows what it could have used for on a little C2.
