    PSU fan connector/sensor

It's the BeQuiet Dark Pro P7 850w and about 8 years old :D. I've just upgraded everything and can't remember if I plugged it into my old mono. I think I'll leave it hanging as I can't see anywhere on my AsRock B450 ITX board where it should go. I just thought it might let the mobo control the...

    PSU fan connector/sensor

Just a little question for anyone that can help... Just setup a new build and I have a wire coming out of my PSU that the manufacturer says is an 'rpm control'. It's a 3-pin style fan connector and I'm wondering if I can/should connect it to my motherboard (and if so, where?). The 2 chassis...

    Video Editing/game build under £1000

Hmmm...yeah...I was thinking of two NAS drives in raid 1. They're kinda made for it.

    Video Editing/game build under £1000

@orbitalwalsh Ah...ok. If the gpu is that essential I'll have to wait until some offers come on to keep under my £1000 budget as I need the 2 4tb drives as the storage is essential for me. Thanks for the help!

    Video Editing/game build under £1000

Thanks for the replies. Some of the stuff in that list is what I was looking at. I think having 2 4TB hdds in raid 1 is essential for me until I get an external backup drive so with a little tweaking I've come up with this: My basket at Overclockers UK: 1 x AMD Ryzen 7 Eight Core 1800X 4.00GHz...

    Video Editing/game build under £1000

I've been looking at upgrading an old desktop I've had, unused, at my parents house and thinking of bringing it home and building a video editing/gaming setup as I'm fed up editing on a laptop! I also get the spare room to myself I'll mainly be using it for video editing (some 4k but not much)...

    Ryzen 5 build advice.

Thanks for the info. I've seen an AsRock x370 killer mobo which is £50 more expensive. It does, however, have built in WiFi so it'd only work out £30 more given I wouldn't need a WiFi adapter. Tbh I'm not an overclocker. I just want everything to work when I put it all together ☺️. Will the...

    Ryzen 5 build advice.

So.. I've decided that for all-round gaming, video editing and lightroom stuff on a budget, the Ryzen 5 6-cores are the way to go. I've around £700 and come up with these: Ryzen 5 1600 - £219 Asus Prime B350 - £99 Kingston Fury Black 2x8gb 2666mhz £140 XFX Radeon RX480 8gb - £210 Total £668...

    Mid-range gaming/video editing upgrade

I think I'll wait until the Ryzen 5 6 core chips come out. They'll supposedly be £80 cheaper and if they're a similar games performance to the 8 core Ryzens then I'll get the 6 core and spend the cash I've saved on an 8gb RX480. Unless video editing performance drops significantly between the 8...

    Mid-range gaming/video editing upgrade

Thanks for that. It's almost what I had in mind actually But, Ryzen 5 is out in 3 weeks and a bit cheaper which means I can get the 8g version of the RX480. So the question is, which is more important..CPU cores or GPU memory?: Ryzen 7 1700 8 cores + RX480 4gb Vs Ryzen 5 1600x 6 cores + RX480...

    Mid-range gaming/video editing upgrade

Hi! Can anyone give me a little advice on upgrading my very old rig. I've not gamed since the times of Crysis and Far Cry 2 and would like to dabble into a bit of gaming again (Witcher series, Skyrim, Battlefield 1 etc). I'm also wanting something that's useful for bits of video editing which...

Tap. Pay. UK. - Android Pay in the UK

Just started using Android pay this week and it's worked every time. Always made sure screen is unlocked. Got myself a £10 Costa Coffee voucher on my 3rd transaction so pretty chuffed so far

Got one of these for £360. First day with it so far so not formulated my opinion but first impressions are good. Anyone got Android Nougat on theirs yet (unlocked)?

    *** Google Nexus 6 ***

@Matteysan Tried that. Went to Settings>calls>voicemail and the only option is adding/changing the voicemail number. Nothing in Marshmallow itself gives clues on this functionality. Maybe it's something that will be rolled out later but as of now that can't find anything to enable it...

    *** Google Nexus 6 ***

Got my update yesterday. Battery a little better and things seem snappier. Anyone know anything about the supposed inclusion of visual voicemail? I still get my voicemail alerts in the usual way and cannot find this feature anywhere. Cheers.

    *** Google Nexus 6 ***

Yes. Double-tap to wake is something I'd like. Not rooted a phone since my Nexus One years ago. Might give it a shot although voiding the warranty is kinda putting me off. Rooting used to be permanent on the N1. Is it reversible these days?

    *** Google Nexus 6 ***

Ended up buying mine from Carphone Warehouse. 32gb midnight blue. Ordered about 5pm and it came next morning. Loving it so far. Don't think it's that big at all and feels quite comfortable in the hand. Was a little worried as I'm a one-handed typer with phones, just using my thumb, and it's...

    *** Google Nexus 6 ***

Just got an email from amazon telling me that my Nexus 6 won't be here until after Xmas :-( That's after having an original date of the 16th, changed to 24th and now who knows when (they say within 2 weeks so maybe before the New Year, but I doubt it). Shame as I wanted it for Xmas. Still, got...

    *** Google Nexus 6 ***

Cheers. Just checked a few retailers and they didn't mention it. So will be £200 cheaper than Nexus 6. Really want the Nexus 6 but that price for a similar phone is tempting.
