Yes, I have seen the work of Dr. Israetel and he has his head screwed on (at least his critiques of the "celeb" workouts)...
A bit rude, but no worse than a lot of stuff out there!
Amusingly, wearing soft shoes led to absolute agony from a PF issue... then had a similar issue with ankle pain from tibialis anterior spasm.
Both were agony for around 3 weeks (almost couldn't walk) and took me attacking them with a rolling pin (which also hurt. A lot), but mercifully slowly...
Nice to see you back!
I have tried a myo rep-type scheme from Christian Thibaudeau and it was pretty good from a strength standpoint; I didn't notice a huge difference in size/BW, but I wasn't consistent enough.
I find 3-5 second negatives are really doing the trick at the moment but that is...
Nice.
You can always reverse the loading pattern, so you try out for a heavy max single and then back off from that for your "training" weight. A very "weightlifter" thing to do.
I think the only non-stick pans I have ever used that lasted well were some old-school Tefal Armatal range, and a random M&S small frying pan. Everything else has not held up well.
So I use a stainless steel fry pan with a cast iron skillet-type smaller pan and just enjoy not worrying.
I would imagine the weight is probably fine, because there are no sleeves, bearing or bushings to worry about.
Tbh, the biggest issue from my standpoint would be loading and unloading the bar.
Hi, all. Trying to find a good place to print high-quality photos from panoramas taken on holiday...
Some places only do canvas prints in wide format (90*30cm), so any experience with anything that actually works, please?
There is no overhead pressing work in there, no delta work...
Rep and set ranges are fine provided you gauge your intensity right and the progression from compound to isolation is also good...
I managed to get to Ruka in Finland in December. It was awesome and nowhere near as cold as Yllas.
Bear in mind it is Finland so the snow was great but the runs are relatively short and shallow: brilliant for my kids but a bit less involved for the more adventurous.
All booked via Crystal...
Keep BSS and ditch the rest in favour of trap bar deadlift.
Or glute-ham raises.
If your lower back is hurting doing squats, you're doing them wrong. :)
I think is is probably a factor of them not really having gotten on the Crossfit train. They made a half-hearted attempt (which was rubbish), but there is nothing wrong with their shoes aside from the look.
IMHO.
BSS are probably the best functional hypertrophy and strength exercise ever.
You can go for crazy unilateral overload compared to any other kind of squatting, and - being unilateral - they balance you out better.
Do them and win.
