    B7 RS4 - interesting prices

I did get 30mpg once from the RS4 on a 90 mile trip to kent going 60mph Ish on the M3 and M25 but only once to see if it was possible. The very most I had out of the 65l tank was 370 miles but this was all motorway driving to scotland. It gets very boring buying a v8 and then worrying...

    B7 RS4 - interesting prices

I swapped from a Focus ST for the same reasons and after a lucrative period selling hard drives after the floods in Thailand. Unfortunately others misery did pay for my car!!! Ive always wanted a Subaru P1 but the image isnt one I can deal with now. Audi do a longlife service schedule...

    B7 RS4 - interesting prices

There is nothing fragile about them, well looked after examples are pretty bullet proof. They are thief magnets tho for some reason. What so many people will forget is its a 60k car new, just cos you can get them for 15k doesnt mean the costs to run them change. No different to any car at...

    B7 RS4 - interesting prices

at 15k plus these cars are now in the price realms of the boy racers who'd buy them without any clue on the running costs, keep them for a bit, rag them and move them on as soon as a big bill turns up so there is more and more cars with a lot of owners with problems that maybe arent obvious...

    B7 RS4 - interesting prices

I have one as a daily and have had for 3 and a half years. Think they only made them 2006 to 2008 but they aint been 50k for a LONG time. 60k ish new I believe and I paid below half that for a 24k miler 3 years ago. 15k is a dud, 17-18k and you should see a good example with decent miles...

    Supercar experiences

I did a 6 supercar day a few years back, Lambo, Ferrari, R8, Porsche 911, Aston and a GTR and it was about £400, 4-5 laps in each but it was literally straight line and one corner and you never really got the chance to open them up too much so it was decent but not spectacular. You got like 3...

    Audi owners in here!

I have an RS4 and they arent cheap to run. Most with DRC issues should have been sorted by now being they are 6 or so years old. Mines been ok but I think thats £600 ish a corner. Ive just done Front and rear pads and discs and thats 2k, tyres all round is 1k. Boggo oil service is £300 ish...

Can you really buy a decent car for under £500

Ive worked hard for a some reasonably decent wheels, but the practical mean git side in me (especially as I get older and priorities change) is always telling me that spending that much money on just a car isnt that sensible. My head always says sell it, my heart says dont. My heart wins...

Can you really buy a decent car for under £500

Unfortunately not. Just an 07 Audi RS4. Front and rear pads and discs 2k, 1k on 4 tyres. I forgot the £500 tax ive also footed out this month. Not un-expected bills, but having done the sums I reckon it will have cost me 8k this year (When you factor in this, plus insurance, petrol...

Can you really buy a decent car for under £500

In this contect id define decent as 4 wheels, a steering wheel, MOT'd, relatively economical and reliable for 12 months. performance, noise, luxuries, colour etc relatively un-important. Looking here for proper throw away motoring!

Can you really buy a decent car for under £500

Im considering buying a shed for a few reasons, I dont really need one but having spent 3k on my daily in a month on tyres and brakes Im interested to see whether you can really buy a cheap reliable motor, taxed and tested for less than the price of 2x tyres and run it problem free for 12...

Cars you nearly purchased and now regret not buying...

Impreza P1 by a mile. I dont regret the RS4 but I wanted a P1 from the first moment I saw one new in the showroom at the Subaru garage I used to walk past on the way home after a night out in the local underage drinking establishment at 15/16. Had I of bought one 3 years back I might of...

£100k Garage: Is one car better than many?

Personally I think id spend it on several options. You can get a lot of 2nd hand car these days for not a lot of money. 20k Audi B7 RS4 - Id have to keep it, it ticks all the boxes. 4 Door, Rapid, V8 noise, prescence, relative rarity, 4wd. 10k - Impreza P1 - From the day I walked past...

What is the creepiest thing to have ever happened to you?

I was a total non believer on ghosts and that sort of thing but ive had reason to give it a little more thought in recent years. I bought my house 3 or so years ago and when we bought it we bought it from a single lady who's husband had been killed in a car accident on the M3 a couple of...

    Remapped?

I had an ST, standard and then Mountuned. If it boosts to 1.2 bar and holds there for a sec or two then its defo remapped. A standard ST wont boost to 1.2 bar and hold. I also had an ST1 with NO ESP and when standard it wouldnt boost to 1.2 Bar so dont think its related.

    Audi owners in here!

Ive a B7 RS4 and its NOT cheap to run and mines relatively low mileage and well cared for. Tyres all round £1000, Front discs and pads £1000, Tax £500 a year, 20mpg 220/240 miles a tank if you are lucky. Ive extended the warranty on mine, otherwise the bills on mine would have been circa 7k this...
