yeah and its huge, ugly, still very expensive. I wouldn't be too worried about a few C less in cooling with an AIO with their much more sleek look and such. I guess i am just a little bias due to my last set up ran one and had no issues, problems or anything else with it and looked great. Vs...
So, i always hear that Air cooled is "better" but i was wondering...Why!? As the better ones tend to be MASSIVE and normally are hideous to look at. I need to get a New CPU cooler and people say to get Noctua NH-U12A which itself is nearly £90. Why not for example get a Corsair Hydro Series...
Would it work in the Tomahawk Max? Due to it having to be sideways, the RAM could get in the way and thats what i am worried about when it comes to getting a new cooler
Well, The Corsair Air 540 has space for a dual 120/140 mm radiator on the top, though i used a single 120mm fan AIO and it worked great. I mean on the plus side that should fit fine, but the rest of my case is Black and white and my OCD would be kinda tilted having that NH-U12A in there with...
yeah i have heard of that one but its HUGE and thats rather expensive, could go for AIO setup for a little bit more and save a lot of space, the last one i had Corsair was awesome. Its also, not very nice looking either Lol
So currently rocking the stock cooler that came with the CU and no surpise, its not the best. Its decent normally idle around 45c according to Ryzen Master but in gaming, i can hit 80c+ which is a bit much. So i am in need of a proper cooler.
I am currently thinking about the Arctic Freezer 34...
I could, but i wont Lol
Everything ordered. Now the wait time. Not sure if i will have the time to put it together tomorrow. As i will need to take everything apart, clean everything. put everything back together, make sure it doesnt blow up and then do all the installing. If it gets here early...
So i have this (Minus Motherboard) ready to buy with some Air Duster cleaners and 280mm dust filter ready to buy, got the Motherboard and some cable ties ready to buy elsewhere, anything else i might need before i press the purchase button?
Haha, i dont think i will get to that point Lol. yeah but is the compound actually good? I have always be of the thought its better to use new, better compound than any that comes with it? Why would it come preapplied? That is also very true. Not had any issues with the fans of yet. Defo think...
Yeah i have removed the links, didnt mean to break any rules. Think i might grab some other bits as well - Could do with some new clean dust filters, some case cleaning bits and some thermal compound as well. Maybe some cool looking fans as well Lol
What would you choose if you couldnt get the RAM? As Overclockers is out of the Motherboard i will have to buy somewhere else and the ram else where is like twice the price. currently looking at buying from elsewhere The other option i have is to buy everything bar the motherboard from...
Oh, okay good to know. Yeah i am okay with not spending too much
yeah the board that i was firts looking at didnt have the CPU -less BIOS update it was a ASrock Taichi board and from what i could see it wasn't one that could be done without another CPU.
Thats a shame no experience with other...
Well, that is true as well. Not sure what wouldnt be an upgrade for it. So as i would be upgrading any. Maybe doing it all at the same time might be easier thing to do. So with that being the case. If i say upped to £300 to spend on the graphics card, would i be able to get one that would last...
Would the new GPU be needed right away? I did look at the Tomahawk Max. I was also looking at a few MSI and Asus ones. Its been rather hard to find some good reviews. I guess as it seems solid and good price, it could be used as a stop gap for a better upgrade down the road
