I would, but considering the stock cooler is maxing at 1300 RPM and 55c, it doesn't feel worth the investment. I can barely hear the fans when it's underload, and the CPU has never been above 55.

For anyone curious, my idle temps are now down 15c and my load temps are down 25c :) Brilliant CPU, makes the system so much quieter!

Due to a recent ordering mix up, I may be in the fortunate position to swap my i5 4440 for a i5 6400. I'm into quiet computing, and I'm wondering if a i5 6400 will produce less heat (and therefore require less cooling / lower spinning fans) than an i5 4440? Thank you, Conor

I installed 2 ML120 fans today, and I'm using the PWM settings in the BIOS to decrease the fan speed, but the minimum PWM option will still only decrease them to 1300 when the fans are supposed to go down to 500. What can I do to fix this? Thank you EDIT: Solved. Wasn't able to get down...

Where would I find the PWM settings? I tried looking in the BIOS last night and couldn't find the word 'fan' or 'PWM' anywhere.

I would like to spin them at a lower RPM than their default RPM. How would I go about doing this? They don't come with those handy connectors which reduce RPM.

I'm not sure about the biggest. It only fits up to 140mm, and the U9B is 125mm. It could be a bit taller, but from the reviews I've read, it's one of the best low-noise coolers under 140mm. The C14S is another shout, but I've read there's clearance issues with the case fans on that one.

Noctua coolers are a lot more quiet than AIO coolers though :) Thanks though!

Smffy Current set up i5 4440 GTX 1070 EVGA Hadron Air The i5 is stock cooled, since I don't have an interest in overclocking. I'm going to see how the AS5 and cleaning does, and if the temps are satisfactory, I'll get an aftermarket cooler! :) (Probably a Noctua NH-U9B SE2).

Yup, I've ordered some AS5. Going to slap that on tomorrow, and if I'm happy with the temps, that'll be it. If not, I'll get a non-stock cooler :)

Ksanti, I called up yesterday asking for more specific ETAs and they told me they expected stock on several cards yesterday (KFA2, MSI, etc.) but nothing has come. They said that the ETA for the stock after the stock that *should've* arrived yesterday is due on the 30th :(
