At least it gives you an excuse to buy another 290!! You can just use the dvi outputs then. 2 on the first card and one on the second card. You possibly wont be getting above 60fps @ 5760 with a single card anyway.

Not really for gaming. You would be better off using the money saved on a even better gpu. Examble: i5+gtx780 > i7+gtx770.

I hate to recommend this. But maybe sell the D14 and get an H80 or similar? I prefer the D14, but the AIO liquid coolers work well with an open venting gpu.
