Is it me or are all the £1500 cars now £5k?

I don't think the higher interest rates help either, the days of cheap lease deals have long gone. Those people that were getting decent cars for £250-300 are now looking at £500-600 a month. They will also now be looking at used cars

Is it me or are all the £1500 cars now £5k?

But they are though, the number of 4+ litre cars that I have seen on Autotrader that have been on there coming up for a year now. They refuse to even reduce the price by £1. Some of them have reduced their price but again by only £100-£500 max. (We're talking £15-20k cars) Not sure what game...

    Deluded sellers

But then following that logic if something isn't selling they should decrease the price? For instance I saw an XKR on a private group he mentioned he was going to sell it soon, no advert listed anywhere yet he sold it in 24 hours to a private buyer. I even tried to offer him money before I even...

Price of petrol cars seem to be holding up quite well, especially the unique stuff (C63/M3/RS4), anything that is decently priced is going quickly. Goes to show there is still a market for big V8's. That being said there's lots of ropey examples on Autotrader and eBay, they are not shifting at all.

    Deluded sellers

Can't make this up, the guy that has tried to sell the car I was talking about has had it up for over 6 weeks and posted on a forum that he's had ZERO interest in it and that he doesn't know why it's not selling. Lower your price mate, it's as simple as that. I don't understand why people are...

    Mortgage Rate Rises

Bank of England's fault as well as the Government, useless bunch honestly. They're either extremely naïve or they are doing it on purpose. I'm starting to think the latter. Stamp duty holiday- stupid idea Keeping interest rates low after the 2009 financial crash for over 13 years was also...

At this rate I'm just going to drive my old Astra until it dies, 17+ years old and no rust. I cannot bring myself to pay these wacky prices. As Duncan Bannatyne would say "I'm oot"

Is anyone else encountering a high amount of delusion amongst private sellers and some dealers? Example 1- Private sale £18k has a book price according to HPI valuations of £15k in excellent condition if being sold privately. Mortgage Rate Rises

This is getting ridiculous, if they actually gave this amount of support towards R&D and engineering in this country we would not be in the mess that we're in. Clear to see where their priorities lie first the stamp duty holiday which was not needed at all, now this.

NHS Car Leases - any good?

Going to be blunt, it used to be good however now it's not worth it unless you're a high tax payer or about to retire. Also it's just full of EV's if that's your thing then fine. But I remember when they had Golf GTI's and Porsche 911 on there :(
