    NVIDIA 4000 Series

The fact that Nvidia have yet to release any statement other than we are investigating is really bad form here. Media shouldn't be finding the culprit faster than Nvidia. Although that's funny since it's their fault. Based on igorslabs findings, the adaptors are a huge red flag, considering the...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

For sure, but but that will come in at a price above the vanilla 4080's. and price wise, there is only couple hundred between the 4080-16 and the 4090 already. If the TI versions offer any real performance compared to 4090, then it again makes the vanilla 4080s that much more pointless as...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

So 4090 performance is a large uplift over last gen, but sadly this doesn't bode well for 4080 at all. Unlike the 3080 compared to the 3090, where we saw little increase in performance for nearly double the price. The 4090 will actually provide massive leap of performance over the 4080-16...

2k give or take. I'm in Ireland so it's even more expensive in Euro.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Funny enough meant to say 3090. The 3090 offered no real performance uplift for gaming and it was launched as a gaming card at the time, and it was over double the price of the 3080, but only offering 10 -percent more performance. The 4090 looks to offer a much bigger leap over the 4080's and...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Yeah, they priced the 4090 the same as always (mostly, Europe got hit bad due to currency). The 4090 was always going to be aimed at the folks with more money than reason. However, they priced the 4080's so bad to ship 30's over the next month and left them far enough out to see what AMD do with...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Great points and thats a huge factor. Right now Nvidia are charging huge money for their new cards, and with marketing tactics being used to dupe customers. The main factor is that we are in a huge cost of living increase. Consumers are going to build 2-3k gaming machines. Their going to buy...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

But that's completely irrelevant. Pricing is set by demand, not buy how much aspects of development and logistics have increased. You can't simply pass this increase costs onto your customers everytime, as eventually you will simply make your product less appealing and in turn those increased...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Absolutely spot on. This same behavior is true across the entire tech world and the big companies know full well. history is repeating itself as they will simply outprice the mass consumer and be left with stock they can't sell. AMD have a real chance to steel some market share here by ,simply...

Hopefully one day it gets sorted. Only handful retailers in UK shipping to Ireland including amazon. Would be great to have OCUK back as an option.

Will OCUK ever deliver to Ireland again.

That i believe is why motherboards are being priced through the roof. They feel their part will last longer in a new build, so they make less money overall as people don't upgrade motherboards as much. Now with AM5 having DDR5 and PCIe5 and AMD supporting it for years, same as AM4 really. Their...

MSI's pricing is appalling. I know x670 isn't the mainstream boards, but do AMD honestly expect AM5 to have any adoption rate. New CPU, Mobo and RAM is going to be a huge pill to swallow. Same with 40 series, i see these launches becoming flops.

Any word on mobo pricing. The early leaks were a bit insane. If mobos are going to cost huge amounts, wont that also kill AM5 uptake for AMD since it really adds to the price of entry.

That is by design. The boost is aimed at highest possible amount. If you had a tiny heatsink it would aim for 95 as well.

    NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

So results from my msi ventus are in. Comparisons between drivers 456.38 and the newer 456.55 released yesterday. It's worth noting that I was not getting any crashes on either. Played modern warfare which was prone to crashes multiple times and it was fine...

Rtx 3080 lower quality capacitor Issue

Will do. Will run a few benchmarks (game and synthetic) and see how the card performs and then do the same after drive update.

Rtx 3080 lower quality capacitor Issue

Haven't had a chance to try new drivers, but using msi ventus. Only played for about 3 hours and had no crashes on modern warfare. Might check clock speeds before updating drivers and see if there is any real changed.
