do not look beyond this post if you don't want to see spoilers.

now, a word from me. I preordered this morning, after finding some money lying around in my room (i assume it was mine :D).

all i can say is i am psycked about this game, i loved the demo, and i loved the MP beta. i hope, and it looks like it may well live up to a good degree of the hype. the suite modes really add some extra immersion from my point of view, although i would like a mode or mod, to be able to play the game without any 'powers'.

having played the demo in the hardest mode i can only hope crytek will have made it harder before the full release, or will add a patch to make it harder later. however it is a good challange, and the AI seems pretty well rounded.

anyways;

post away, please don't rubbish the thread. (unlike the other 'official' one which was pointless) and STOP POSTING SPOILERS IN THE DEMO THREAD, this is the place for them now.

post anything you like in regards to the game, screen shots, spoilers, help you need, settings, tweaks, hints and tips etc

my spec for the game is:
intel C2D E4300 @ around 2.4GHZ
2 GB DDR2 RAM
8800GTS 320mb

the above seemed to handle the demo well, i'm hoping it will play the full game better (optimisation :))

anyone got any decent screenies?

if anyone knows of any other reviews or video reviews of the full game, post them up and i'll add them to the first post

My Spec is

Intel C2D 6850 @ stock
4gig 800Mhz OcZ
8800GTX

I managed to play about and now have a mix of V high and high settings at 1650-1050. It play's at about 26-40FPS, which I was chuffed with.

Im currently at work but will post some when Im home.

The release for the game is actually the 14th in Aussi and the 16th in Europe however my guess is that those that preordered online will have the game for tomorrow's release too.

Crysis sucks really bad.... I have the retail version.

Does not support multi-cores, performance optimizations are really bad and the AI is absolutely horific........... graphics are not all that tbh considering the requirements of the game

Im running it on Quad Core, 8800 Ultra in SLI and plays around 20fps at 1920x1080 at very high all. only 1 core is utilized....

COD4 is miles ahead of crysis.

If Zefan is reading this can I ask why the other thread's havnt been closed ? there isnt a PM feature on the forum and I cant get your email so how do I contact you ? I asked for a merge there is quite clearly a warning for spoilers >.<

What if im talking about the game and I am a family member of EA staff? I aint breaking any rules there is no mention about pirate games =/ seems harsh but im sure it was against the rules but I think a wider explanation is sometimes needed by the mods.

i'd like to disagree, graphically crysis is superb, even on low spec machines. yes it may not be brilliantly optimised, but doubtless there will be a patch on release day, if not after, containing all the additions/changes crytek have made after crysis went gold

Well on the level named Assault my performance is halved, I can barely get over like 20fps and it's unplayable, previous levels I was at like 25-35 ish comfortably but this just takes the ****.

High settings @ 1680x1050 8800GTX.

Sometimes the AI is terrible but it makes for interesting physics play :) - I play it 4xFSAA 1680x1050 on HIGH and have no real issue outdoors really.
